Thanks to all who signed and supported the campaign. All the comments were intelligent and reflected the commitment that Daybreak listeners feel to Nancy Wood and the type of programming she represents.
From September 2009 – February 2010, veteran journalist and professional radio host, Nancy Wood, was the morning host of Daybreak on CBC Radio One. She was pulled from her dream job as host chair without any announcement to the radio audience. Even after a month there is still no official announcement from the CBC management about this terrible situation.
Nancy was born and raised in Montreal. She was the host of CBC Montreal’s Radio Noon for nine years and often contributed to Daybreak. She worked as a television news reporter for CBC Newsworld and CBC News: The National since 2005. She is experienced, extremely personable, works well with the morning team and understands the Quebec audience.
We believe Nancy Wood was a wonderful host. We would like the CBC management to listen to the Daybreak listening audience. We want Nancy Wood to be reinstated as Host of Daybreak.
