Thanks to everyone who signed and supported this campaign. The petition has been forwarded along with the paper petition and we are still waiting for a reply.
The race For Life event which raises money for Cancer research was due to take place in Alexander Park on 6th July 2011. Due to 'only 495 people' having signed up for this event , Race For Life have taken it upon themselves to cancel this event as it would not be cost-effective.
If on average each of these people raised £100.00 in sponsorships that would total a raising of £49,500, how can they cancel this event and turn away that much money for such a needy cause, Please sign our petition and help us get this event back on track.
