Dear Bluedogians,
it's been an 18 month ordeal on a shoe string budget! We couldn't afford legal representation so we tackled it alone. A combination of our 'dogmatic' persistence and your unbelievable support has finally seen The Dog have its day!!!!!
WE WON.

• We won the community's support.
• We won councils support.
• We won at VCAT.
Everything we were after...

Stuart and I can't thank you all enough, especially a select few who have truly humbled us. We will be planning a thank-you party very soon so stay tuned.
Now we can get back to what we are here to do, stay tuned because this place is gonna have some fantastic changes.

*PLEASE NOTE: The Courtyard eatery area won't be a ‘Beer Garden’. It will not be having bands or loud music etc. The Blue Dog closes at 11pm. It is a Family Friendly restaurant also catering for children’s meals and Take Away. Pets are welcome in the front outdoor seating area under umbrellas, with fresh pet water bowls.
SOME BACKGROUND ABOUT THE 'BLUE DOG BOYS'
A couple of friends (Ben and Stuart), with a big dream and enough drive to make ‘The Blue Dog Bar’ happen, both grew up in the Park Orchards area and were excited about opening a place in the neighbourhood for patrons to eat simple, comfort food cooked by a talented chef. They have already created an environment where people feel like part of the Blue Dog ‘family’ – enjoying a beer whilst watching the game – or a burger with a glass of fine wine and to enjoy Gourmet Pizza’s & Burgers AND MANY MORE wonderful meals and snacks.
Locals and many patrons from other suburbs including some International Guests), frequent the ‘The Blue Dog’ from Breakfast to Dinner and Supper.
The Blue Dog has also created more jobs for Locals, plus supports Local Schools, Local Clubs and Local Sporting Clubs.

A bit about the Park Orchards Village Shopping Centre:
There is only one small Village Shopping centre in Park Orchards. It is on the corner of Park Road and Hopetoun Rd. There is “The Blue Dog Bar and Restaurant”, a Wine Cellar store, Café Orchards (which is BYO), Milk Bar, Deli, Garden and Building Supplies and Firewood, Fitness Centre, Dentist, Post Office, Service Station, Pharmacy (opening shortly) and some other shops. There is plenty of free parking.

# Some Local Statistics:
In the 2011 census the population of Park Orchards was *3,718 (Adults and Children) and is comprised of approximately 49.2% females and 50.8% males with the median/average age of the people in Park Orchards being 41 years of age.
