A big thank you to everyone who signed this petition! I wanted to share with you all the response from Stewart's that we received:
"Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
We are sorry to learn of your disappointment in the Geyser Road shop closing. Unfortunately, this shop does not have the ability to accommodate the equipment or space needed to expand its food offerings and other services like fuel. We apologize for any disappointment, but please know we will share your concerns with our Senior Management team.

So as you can see, we didn't change Stewart's mind. Perhaps the decision was made long before we heard about it. However, we showed a lot of love for that little neighborhood store, and I thank you all for adding your names and sharing your thoughts.
Stewarts Shops has announced the closure of its Geyser Road location, which is a popular neighborhood shop for people in the Geyser Crest community of Saratoga Springs, NY. It is also a favorite stop for commuters along Geyser Road. This Stewart's has been there as long as community members can remember,* it is convenient, and the staff is always friendly. Best yet, it is in an area that is walkable and bikeable. Please help save our local store by signing the petition below.
* Except Dave, who remembers when his uncle's house stood on that spot.
Please do not close our neighborhood Stewart's: the only Stewart's within walking distance of Geyser Crest neighborhood. We love this store and use it every day. It's part of our community, and the neighborhood will not be the same without it. As popular as the store is, we ask Stewarts Shops to reconsider its closure.
