I am happy to let all who supported and contributed to the above post. Piula Theological College have agreed to tag and release the wild turtles they caught and kept in captivity. The tagging and release will monitored and assisted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) today, Friday the 21st of July 2017. I would like to give a special thanks to Samoa Planet (www.samoaplanet.com) for there drive in ensuring our voices were heard and advocating for the desperate freedom the turtles that were in captivity obviously wanted.
Much thanks and appreciation Rainforest Runaway Ecotours

Here in Samoa there is popular and beautiful natural wonder (cave pool) to both tourists and locals located on the northern side of the island of Upolu, Samoa in a village called Piula. The custodians/care takers of this natural beauty is Piula Theological College whereby an admission fee is asked for o
To maintain the cleanliness and accessibility which I must note is well kept.
Unfortunately they have now decided to capture wild turtles and enclose in a prison (netted area shallow and close to the shore) thinking this would add to the attraction.
So lastly I would like to thank you in advance if you choose to sign this petition to stop the suffering these turtles are going through and I would be much appreciated.
