O Projeto dos Grandes Primatas (GAP) está em campanha para a adoção da declaração dos Grandes Primatas, que deve contemplar gorilas, orangotangos, chimpanzés e bonobos numa "comunidade dos iguais", juntamente com seres humanos, extendendo para estes os três interesses básicos: direito à vida, proteção da liberdade individual e proibição da tortura. [10] Este tem sido visto pelo um crescente número de advogados pelos diretos animais como um primeiro passo para a garantia de direitos para outros animais. [1][11]

Críticos dos direitos animais argumentam que animais não tem a capacidade de entrar em contrato social, fazer escolhas morais[12] e que não podem respeitar o direito de outros ou não entendem o conceito de direitos, sendo assim não podem ser colocados como possuidores de direitos morais. O filósofo Roger Scruton argumenta que somente os seres humanos têm capacidades e que "o teorema é inescapável: apenas nós temos direitos". Críticos que defendem essa posição também levantam que não há nada inerentemente errado com o uso de animais para comida, como entretenimento e em pesquisa, embora os seres humanos não obstante tenham a obrigação de assegurar que animais não sofram desnecessariamente. [13][14] Essa posição tem sido chamada de bem-estarista e tem sido propagada por alguns das mais antigas organizações de proteção animal: por exemplo a Sociedade Real pela Prevenção de Crueldades contra Animais no Reino Unido.

Com uma característica condenada como bem-estarista a Declaração Universal dos direitos dos animais foi proclamada em assembléia, pela UNESCO, em Bruxelas, no dia 27 de janeiro de 1978.

1- Revoir ces lois, en augmentant la pénalité financièrement, on ne cherche pas a emprisonner mais a punir.
La punition consiste a sensibiliser ces personnes en les introduisant dans des fermes ou de prendre soin d’un animal de compagnie
2- Que ces personnes doivent être suivies par des psychiatres, surtout pour les moins de 18 ans.

Before the High Court orders there were regular updates and photos of Sunder’s condition however since April 7th there have been no updates. Through email contact with PETA the only update of Sunder’s condition is that there is no guarantee that he is not in danger. Email contact asking PETA for photos of his present condition have been met with avoiding the issue. Unfortunately the High Court did not put in place orders to protect Sunder and he may still be with the same handler. We know that nobody has gone to check up on him and we are very concerned as to whether he is even still alive.

Seeing videos on the internet of Sunder being cruelly and sadistically beaten for years has been heartbreaking for hundreds of people if not thousands. Seeing, now, Sunder’s release posted on the internet is what people are expecting.

If PETA INDIA can video tape the cruelty that Sunder has suffered then PETA INDIA can surely video tape his transportation and release, followed by videos of how Sunder is living in his new environment. That is the least PETA INDIA can do for Sunder’s advocates who donated money and worked hard sending emails and tweeting in the hope that their work would make a difference.

The games feature trained elephants playing human sports, like soccer and racing. Elephants are forced to run in the competition and if they don't obey then they are beaten with sickle and bull hooks. The elephants are also subjected to a beauty pageant where their toes and other body parts are painted with toxic paints. But, being an aware citizen or a responsible tourist, it is our duty to raise voice against such activities. Action must be taken to spare these endangered animals from being used as toys for human entertainment.

The annual December festival is the attempt of Nepal to promote tourism and conservation awareness of endangered Asian elephants but if we see nicely then this has been only an attempt to promote tourism. We can compare this condition with two tyres of a cycle where one tyre seems in very loose condition. Elephants are an endangered species in Nepal, and they are facing severe habitat loss and such competition has made the problem more deeper. These games do not promote any kind of conservation for their environment and within the next four years the organizer committee hope to build a stadium designed specifically to house the elephant games. If they succeed to build such stadium then it will be one of the most shameful and selfish step in the name of conservation.

These games are unethical to the elephant species. The animals are subjected to ridicule and forced to perform human acts so that people can be entertained. Attending an elephant game is no different than going to a circus. Endangered species should not be subjected to such types of forceful entertainment. They should be in their natural habitats, and we should do whatever possible to protect them.

The people of Nepal need to realize that forcing elephants to perform ridiculous acts is not going to help conservation efforts. So, we need to work on other alternatives for the conservation.

It is true that like all birds, ducks are part of the food chain. They eat others, and others eat them. By killing thousands of ducks, we are severely affecting the ecosystem. Every time duck season occurs, overpopulation of insects may happen, and overgrowth of vegetation may also occur. Also, animals that eat ducks may also starve, due to the large disappearance of their own food.

Ducks are killed in the most unfair way for no good reason. This is why the brutal murders need to be stopped. Sign the petition, and we can make one more step toward animal rights.
