Up until his premature death at age 51 on December 14, 1985, Roger Eugene Maris was a treasured, loyal & caring friend, and a terrific teammate. He showed tremendous and admirable courage during his career and throughout his life, playing the game he loved with heart and soul. The person he was on and off the field defines heroism. That’s the kind of athlete the Hall of Fame needs right now. Elect Roger Maris the player and Roger Maris the man.

We all know WWE is never going to go TV 14 even after Vince McMahon passes away and dies someday because WWE is so far gone and damaged so badly now that WWE is going to close their doors and go out of business in the next 10 or 20 years from now because all the fans and everyone are leaving WWE week after week and moving on to other wrestling promotions and doing other things in their lives rather than waste their time and money on WWE that's never going to get better ever!

So once WWE closes their doors, we the fans and people worldwide can all join together and vote and bring WCW back to replace WWE on Monday nights and Thursday nights with Monday Nitro and Thunder again and get all the real hardcore fans back. And WCW will replace WWE in pay per views too and the new owner of WCW can buy all the TV 14 attitude era rights and library and the ruthless aggression era rights and library and all the former WWE pay per views and make them apart of WCW.

WWE is dead and going to be gone for good soon, so Vince please release all the full two hours episodes of the attitude era and ruthless aggression era of WWE on complete series DVD box sets along with Saturday Night Velocity, Sunday Night Heats and all the TV 14 pay per views from the ruthless aggression era and the attitude era. And release all the full two hour and three hour episodes of WCW: Monday Nitro and WCW: Thunder from 1995-2001 on complete series DVD box sets too along with the old WCW pay per views. And release them on DVD sets digitially remastered in 1080P HD qaulity and HQ audio sound!

That way, we can relive our childhood fun days of WWE and WCW we grew up with back in the 90s and 2000s (from 2000-2008) since WWE will never go TV 14 again and since WWE is going to die and fold soon. ROH has an excellent roster, excellent wrestlers and women wrestlers, 5 star matches, great quality, very good commentary and wonderful tag teams. Ring Of Honor is much better than TNA: Impact Wrestling because Ring Of Honor Wrestling has better championship wrestling and Japanese wrestling. And they bring excitement to wrestling fans every week too now that their ratings are much higher than they were a few years ago.

ROH is so cool and awesome and that's why they just need a TV deal live on TBS every week on a really big TV network so they can get more mainstream and popular and get more American fans and fans from Europe, Asia, Canada and other countries wordwide!

TBS is the perfect channel for Ring Of Honor Wrestling to be on so they can compete with TNA in competition head to head in another bloodbath competition war with ROH vs. TNA when or if TNA gets on PopTV or on another basic cable channel if they're lucky. And when TNA does eventually run out of money and goes out of business, all the current and former TNA superstars and knockouts (the whole TNA roster) can all go to Ring Of Honor Wrestling and sign with them and wrestle on ROH and be on their show and roster including the Hardy Boyz if they don't go back to WWE again.

ROH can be on TBS on Tuesday nights if New Japan Pro Wrestling is on TNT on Friday nights, or ROH can be on TBS on Wendsday nights and compete with TNA for ratings when TNA is on PopTv or another basic cable channel if they can get on one and ROH can start at the exact same time TNA starts and end at the exact same time TNA ends on Wendsday nights every week. Or ROH can be 3 hours from 8:00 PM ET to 11:00 PM ET on Tuesday nights if NJPW is on TNT on Thursday nights, or ROH can air on Wendsday nights or on Saturday nights. And so ROH can get a women's division too.

We're asking you Time Warner to look into how good ROH is and give them a chance and a TV deal on TBS and give wrestling in general another chance on TNT and TBS again! I know you people are looking into getting wrestling back on TBS and TNT someday, so please give Ring Of Honor Wrestling a spot on TBS which they so deserve time warner. But if ROH does air on TBS, use the old TBS logo on the screen just on ROH every week to make ROH look more realistic and believable!

Leicester Leys leisure centre is the only Leisure facility within the council and is used by thousands of people, not just from Leicester but by people throughout the east midlands.

4 sites have been chosen for investment and Leicester leys isn't one of them, why is this fair????!!!??????

We would like to voice our opinions on the rehiring of Head Swim Coach, Daylyn Hopp. We understand that she has submitted an application for consideration for the upcoming 2017-2018 swim season and we ask that our voices be considered in the decision making process of who is hired.

Coach Hopp is more than qualified to successfully run the SPASH Swim program as she has over 20 years coaching experience. She has successfully guided the SPASH Swim Team to back to back Conference Championships over the past 2 years, has taken swimmers to sectionals and then on to compete at the State level. Coach Hopp is respected by her peers in the Swimming Community across the state, parents (former and current) and also the Stevens Point Community in which she lives. Most importantly, she is admired and respected by the athletes she coaches.

In addition to setting high expectations for her swimmers and encouraging them to set goals, and surpass them, she has made personal sacrifices for the better interests of her swimmers throughout the season and dedicated her time and energy to each and every athlete.

Coach Hopp has had positive impact on so many people in various ways. We realize that no person or coach is perfect and challenges come and go. However, coaching swimming is a significant part of Coach Hopp’s life, she is extremely dedicated to her swimming “family” on and off the pool deck; by far, one of the best coaches the Stevens Point Community has had the privilege of having. She puts in maximum time and effort into coaching her athletes to be successful in and out of the pool. She is what the SPASH Swim Program needs and deserves, there is no other choice in our opinion. She knows her swimmers, and she cares about each and every one of them.

The Iditarod Trail Committee Board of Directors (ITC) recently passed a rule change which allows the use of two-way communication devices in the Iditarod Race. Even the late addition of the “no outside assistance (coaching)” clause to the rule is unenforceable and creates a problematic situation.

Iditarod Rule 35 currently states:

“A musher may carry and use any two-way communication device(s), including, but not necessarily limited to, a cell and/or satellite telephone. Use of any such device for outside assistance (coaching) will result in disqualification. Use of such devices may not be used for any media purposes during the course of the race unless expressly approved in advance by ITC. A musher may also carry an emergency locator transmitter (ELT), a Spot™, or other similar satellite tracking device. However, activation of any help or emergency signal, including accidental activation, may make a musher ineligible to continue and may result in an automatic withdrawal from the race. Use of a GPS is also permitted.”

While Rule 35 takes steps to address safety concerns on the trail, it also creates a situation in which every musher has access to unregulated communication. Enforcing the “no coaching” rule becomes impossible, and the integrity of the race is jeopardized. This was a key topic at the latest Iditarod Official Finishers Club (IOFC) meeting in Nome after the 2016 race. The IOFC minutes were presented to the ITC during discussion of this rule change. The IOFC’s official recommendation voted on by the mushers and passed by a majority vote was:

“That Iditarod Trail Committee provide a two- way communication device (such as the inReach device) that is capable of being carried ‘on the person’ to each musher. It would enable them to communicate with the race marshal in the case of emergency, but would not allow for private communication.”

Making it legal to carry two-way communication for emergency use only can be achieved without adversely impacting the race. Potential solutions include:

• Mushers be allowed, but not required, to carry a two-way communication device of their choice, registered with race officials prior to race start and stowed in a container such as a sealed vinyl bag or “Otter Box,” and secured with a tamper-proof seal to be approved at the discretion of race officials. Such device would be subsequently checked in at the race finish as required gear. Tamper-proof seals would be checked and if broken, any phone numbers called or contacts made would be investigated.

• ITC provides a satellite phone or inReach device for mushers who request it. ITC has unlimited access to all call logs via a server or some other method that does not allow mushers to delete past calls or text records. If this is cost prohibitive, mushers who opt to carry the device may be charged a fee to offset the expense.

It is important for the race to know who has a device and who does not. To prevent mushers from using the device for outside assistance and then “losing” it, the device must be carried to the finish line where it will be checked along with other mandatory equipment, or else signed over to a race official at an approved checkpoint. Loss of the device should result in a substantial time penalty, long enough to ensure competitive mushers do not misuse the device, but short enough that if truly accidentally lost the musher can still finish the race.

To effectively address safety concerns, it is suggested that the ITC establish a 24-hour emergency contact line during the race to field emergency calls. An operator will have the ability to contact appropriate personal (race officials, veterinarians, police, local rescue personal, etc.). A musher will not be penalized for calling the approved ITC number. However, if the musher subsequently receives outside assistance he/she may be disqualified as described in Rule 31.

This is not intended as a “security blanket” for rigors of the trail or race-related challenges, but actual threats to the life and well-being of a musher or team such as from human assault, or a loose dog team. Receiving assistance in an emergency situation will not result in disqualification, but a penalty may be levied at the Race Marshall’s discretion. Use of a device to contact an un-approved number in a non-emergency situation will result in automatic disqualification.

Allowing unregulated use of two-way communication devices by Iditarod mushers changes the fundamental nature of the Iditarod. A private line of communication that cannot be policed is neither an efficient safety measure, nor does it ensure honest competition. Safety measures can and should be implemented without undermining the integrity and character of the race.

It is the last venue of its kind in London, and due to the layout it is unique in terms of the atmosphere a passionate crowd can create while watching the racing there, and the buzz the drivers can get while racing there.

Although unfortunately Speedway is not currently a feature at the stadium, the future of Hot Rod, Stock Car and Banger racing which have been continuing tenants since 1962 at the venue, is now under severe threat.

We are in communication with the MP for Wimbledon, Stephen Hammond (Conservative) and other Members of Parliament.

We appeal to all lovers of motor sport everywhere and even greyhound racing to sign this petition to show your support for Wimbledon Stadium, before it's too late and the stadium is added to the list of demised sporting venues in London and the UK.
