Petition in support of EMT "Gus" Owen Dunn-Hindle and BAWU

We are asking Bangs Ambulance to re-hire EMT Dunn-Hindle without further delay. We believe Gus is being unfairly overlooked by Bangs Management because of his involvement in our Union Effort. In the spring of 2023, Gus notified Management of an internship opportunity and was told he would be made "inactive" if he pursued it- When the internship did not come through, Gus followed company policy and reapplied for his Job. This was ignored by Bangs Management for nearly 2 months- until our employer was confronted with an Open Letter signed by 15 of his co-workers, requesting that Gus be allowed to return to work....

AFA: Cross-Over

On 7/12/11 Sam Risoli sent a letter to each UA FA via Skynet webmail saying CAL will begin hiring and the Cross-Over Program is NOT going to happen. He also stated that UAL will be 1800 flight attendants over-staffed. AFA's inability to have a honest, non-biased survey and to be able to negotiate with the company may very well lead to a furlough.

The focus of this petition has now changed to expressing our anger that AFA has made this decison for us.

Support Toll Dnata workers at Australian airports

By ASU-Victorian Private Sector Branch

The ASU has launched a petition to support Toll Dnata workers at Australian airports and protect the industry from a drop in standards.

Aviation workers at Australian airports are being asked to sign the petition to protect their industry wages and conditions and to make sure the Rudd Government is alerted to the situation.

New employees at Toll Dnata are being offered individual contracts with a flat rate of $20 per hour for all shifts; no shift penalties or allowances and they are only paid overtime after 1,786 hours per year.

The ASU does not want to see Toll Dnata set a new, lower standard and under-cutting other companies in the industry that are paying their employees appropriately.

The ASU wants to gather 1,000 signatures over the next two weeks.

The petition, addressed to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Julia Gillard and members of the Labor Industrial Relations Committee members.

The petition reminds the Rudd Government that Australians voted against Work Choices at the last election and asks for a change in IR laws.

For more information contact Jo Katsoulas on 9320 6700 or mobile 0409 778 890.

The No Flat Rate Petition - CEP Members Against Flat Rating

If you have signed the petition that was previously circulated, please do not resign this one. The 196 signatures from that petition have been recorded and will be appended to those on this site.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The CEP Provincial Bargaining Caucus for Saskatchewan has, without member consultation, passed a proposal which is therefore now part of the final bargaining package. That proposal states all wage increases for the three Saskatchewan CEP locals, local 1S, local 2S and local 3 will be applied each year proceeding forward, on an alternating percentage/flat rated basis.

By attempting to flat rate our salary increases, the CEP Provincial Bargaining Caucus for Saskatchewan has deliberately and purposely set upon a course of action that will bring financial hardship to a significant portion of its membership through the unfair redistribution of their wages.

The union of CEP Local 1-S has started negotiating a mixture of flat and percentage increases for the whole of the local.

Flat rate increases negatively affect the higher paid people. Everyone should get percentage increases.
