Safer Streets Now - Montclair NJ

A group of Montclair NJ residents want safer streets. We want Vision Zero empowered and funded immediately so they can start to put the safe streets plan in place. There have been far too many crashes, far too many persons killed and injured. We have condoned a freeway approach where cars race up/over 70mph, cars regularly run lights, don't stop for pedestrians and/or go around cars that are stopped at crosswalks and even school buses are being hit by cars.

TESLA should allow retrofitting a trailer hitch onto older Model 3 in EU!

Tesla does not want earlier Model 3s in Europe to be retrofitted with a trailer hitch. We want to know WHY Tesla chooses not to allow this. The company claims that European legislation does not allow this, but this is NOT true. Existing type approvals can be amended to allow retrofitting. It is up to the manufacturer (Tesla in this case) to allow this. Therefore we want more clarity on the reasons why.

Սույն թվականի սեպտեմբերի 30-ին տեղի ունեցած Armenian «4x4» օֆֆ-ռոուդ ակումբի համաժողովում ակումբի գործունեությունը համակարգելու և զարգացնելու նպատակով ընդունվել են մի շարք կարևոր որոշումներ, որոնք ստորև ներկայացվում են ձեր ուշադրությանը․
1․Ակումբի նախագահին զուգահեռ ստեղծել ակումբի գործունեությունը Համակարգողի վճարովի հաստիք, որը կզբաղվի ակումբի ֆեյսբուքյան էջի, ինչպես նաև կայքի ղեկավարմամբ, մշտական կապ կպահպանի ակումբի բոլոր անդամների հետ, կկազմակերպի և կհամակարգի զանազան միջոցառումներ։
2․ Վերագործարկել ակումբի կայքը, որտեղ կտեղադրվի մշտապես թարմացվող տեղեկատվություն՝ Հայաստանում և արտասահմանում անցկացվող մրցաշարերի, արտաճանապարհային երթևեկության նորությունների մասին, կունենա քննարկման հարթակ, ինչպես նաև արտաճանապարհային ավտոպահեստամասերի ներքին առքուվաճառքի բաժին։
2․1 Armenian Off Road ակումբի սոցիալական էջերում կամ կայքում հայտարարություններ տեղադրելու իրավունք ունեն միայն ակումբի անդամները:
3․ Մրցաշարերից առաջ
3․1 Յուրաքանչյուր մրցաշարից առաջ կազմակերպել ակումբի անդամների ժողով, որոշել մասնակիցների և ուղակցողների կազմը, կատարել պարտականությունների բաժանում:
3․2 Ժողովի ընթացքում ընտրել մեկնող թիմի ղեկավար, որոշել նրա պարտականությունները և պատասխանատվության չափը՝ որպես ամբողջ մրցաշարի ընթացքում ակումբի թիմի անմիջական ղեկավար։
3․3 Թիմի ղեկավարը մանրամասն ներկայացնում է ռեգլամենտի կարևոր կետերը և մրցման առանձնահատկությունները:
3․4 Խորհրդի որոշմամբ ստեղծել մեքենաների տեխնիկական անսարքությունները շտկող, վերացնող, անձնակազմ (електрик, ходовик, сварчик).
4․ Բյուջե
4․1 Հստակեցնել անդամակցությունը ակումբին և սահմանել ամսական անդամավճար՝ 5000 ՀՀ դրամի չափով։
4․2 Բյուջեից նախատեսվող ծախսն իր մեջ ներառում է պարտադիր համանման արտահագուստի ստեղծում թիմի յուրաքանչյուր անդամի համար։
4․3 Տարվա կտրվածքով միջոցառումների անվճար կազմակերպում ակումբի անդամների համար:
4․3 Ակումբի անդամ չլինելու դեպքում ցանկացած մարդ կարող է մասնակցել միջոցառմանը խորհրդի կողմից որոշված միանվագ վճարում կատարելու դեպքում:
4․4 3 ամիս անընդմեջ անդամավճար չվճարող անձը դուրս է մնում ակումբի անդամակցությունից, վճարված գումարը հետ չի վերադարձվում:
4․5 Եկամուտների և ծախսերի մասով ներկայացվող ամենամսյա ֆինանսական հաշվետվությունը հասանելի կլինի ակումբի բոլոր անդամներին։
5․ Համաժողովի ընթացքում ներկաներից ձևավորվել է ակումբի ղեկավարման խորհուրդ, որն ունի հետևյալ կազմը․

Stop the $30 Profiteering charge from SNZ

Speedway New Zealand has a new compulsory $30 online safety test for ALL competitors which is having serious questions being asked about its implementation and financial transparency.
On that post Keaton Dahm states the following...
"Interesting facts, Laurie Callender, former SNZ Operations Manager, starts a new company, Motorsport Safety Ltd (He is the Director) in June 2017, 'retires' from SNZ in July 2017, then pops back on the scene with a partnership with SNZ in the form of a compulsory $30 fee that all competitors need to cough up. That's $80,100 revenue based on 2670 competitor numbers in 2016-17 (AGM data). An online database and questionnaire does not cost $80,100 to create, so someone is making money disguised as Health and Safety, and its the competitors filling someones pockets. SNZ has $400,000 cash in the bank (AGM data), that could have been used to pay for the start up cost of the database and the ongoing costs of maintaining the database would very easily be covered in the $30,000 and $40,000 surpluses SNZ made last year and the year before. Seems really dodgy business given the Director's ties with SNZ..."

Craig please buy Helmien a Mustang

Helmien is just about the friendliest person you will ever meet. She is also completely obsessed with mustangs and dreams of owning one. She spends a lot of time trying to convince her husband Craig that they should buy one. Craig doesn’t have the same passion for cars and isn’t inclined to agree with the purchase due to the large financial commitment. This makes Helmien sad and she worries that she will never be able to actually own what she refers to as a "wild pony".

I don't know much about cars but I've been doing some research and there does appear to be a lot of valid reasons for making such a purchase. For example; https://www.thoughtco.com/reasons-for-owning-a-ford-mustang-2465073.

Yesterday whilst involved in the regular banter of trying to convince Craig that he should buy one for her I joked about starting a petition and asked Craig how many signatures it would require to convince him to agree with the purchase. To which he replied “70,000”.

This seems like a fairly high number but let’s see how we go. I suspect that this is a cause that anyone who knows Helmien will get behind.

NO TO MOTORCYCLE ARF INCREMENT

Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat announced a new tiered tax system for motorcycles on 20 Feb 2017. Under the new system, the 15% Additional Registration Fee (ARF) will stay for motorcycles with an OMV of up to S$5000. The subsequent S$5000 of its OMV will incur an ARF of 50%, and the remaining OMV above S$10000 will come with an ARF of 100%.

What is the rational behind this move?
If Singapore's goal is to curb road congestion shouldn't we encourage mode of transport such as motorcycling by reducing the taxes?
Motorcycles do not contribute as much to congestion as cars so why are motorcyclist subjected to the same tax amount as cars?

IN SUPPORT OF THUNDERHILL RACE way

Please take a moment to sign this petition in support of saving Thunderhill Race Way. Over the last year negotiation with the county to keep the race track going has failed. Many of us feel that closing the race track for good is a mistake.

We need everyone in support of the race track to email Door County PARKS and Rec department, dcparks@co.door.wisconsin.us

You can also call them at 920 746 9959 or mail them at 3538 Park Drive sturgeonbay will 54235. The County needs to see the heart in the race track, that racing is not a dying sport. There is many of us who would put our best efforts forward to save this track. Another option that people have to help is email door county advocate. There is a strong voice for this track so let us be heard.

Door County has a population just under 30,000 and I know many drivers who come in from surrounding areas and fans. With that said we ask that all drivers and fans to please sign this petition.

Allow Freedom of Expression through our Passion for Cars

Car enthusiast have been expressing their passion through cars since vehicles first were made.

Harley Davidson, Indian motorcycles and other classic machines are allowed to have loud exhaust. Pickup trucks are allowed to be raised higher causing loss of view to other drivers. Muslims with freedom of religion drive around with things covering their faces. So there are plenty examples of machine and driver freedoms.

When a police officer pulls over a driver for lowered car, loud exhaust or wheel poke 15-20 min of that officer's time is consumed and distracted from stopping another potential crime or accident.

227 Stamping Ground Road

Stamping Ground Road also known as 227 has a high accident history. There are a few deadly curves that seem to take to many lives, especially when you add the other factors of weather, speed and, the drivers.

There are 3 we can't control but we can make a safer road. The youngest victim in the past year and half was only 3 and many children left without fathers. Life has forever changed these families as well as the sorrow that follows such tragedies, the families forever broken.

Don't let this continue until it is one of your own. Sign this petition to help about 643 people and definitely help save a baby.

Pressure Townsville police and Council to support Alligatornats

Townsville needs somewhere for guys and girls who like to burn rubber, to go and do it in a safe environment.

A private group has done this but since there are more costs involved they simply can't do it themselves.

Police and Council want skids off the street so I say they should donate to this small event and support the cause also.
