Petition to preserve the Nelson County football league and prevent merging

Why This Matters:

The Nelson County Football League is more than a sports program—it's a source of pride and unity for our community. Our children wear their Nelson County colors with honor, and they learn teamwork, discipline, and leadership while doing something they truly enjoy.
We are facing some changes in the near future. There is a merge that is in the works for Nelson Co. And Thomas Nelson youth Football. We will not have our own Nelson co. League that we have worked so hard to organize . If you agree we should keep things the way they are, rather than merging and having to go practice at another facility, please sign this petition in hopes of our voices being heard and to ensure we all can stay apart of this wonderful football family we have formed.

Sky Blues Badge Re-installment

The Wasps Rugby club took over Coventry City Football club and one of the hurtful things they did, was the removal (stealing), of the CCFC badge from front of stadium. It was then replaced with The Wasps badge. ):

Wasps Rugby went in administration and The Wasps badge was removed leaving an ugly empty space at the heart of our beleoved stadium, for all fans to see.

There is no voice to get back our beloved badge at the front heart of the stadium, it is not just a badge it is the soul of our stadium.

With new ownerhsip (Doug King) this is such as positive and exciting new start for Coventry City Football club, it is ideal time to get our badge back up proudly at the front location of our beloved football stadium so we can take ownership of our beloved CCFC souls, for ALL Cov City fans and generations of families to come.

West Point's Army Navy Jersey to be re-released by Nike

Army Navy is one of the greatest American college football games. Within this fierce rivalry, stretching over 100 years, a new tradition has emerged. Army and Navy both enter the national showcase event wearing special uniforms that showcase their honored and unique histories. Nike has honored the Army’s legacy for the past three years, working with historians at West Point to develop meaningful kits that have led to victory over Navy. The past three years has seen Army honor Divisions of the United States Army with their uniforms; 2016 was the 82nd Airborne, 2017 was the 10th Mountain, and this year is the 1st Infantry. These uniforms are iconic and well-designed. They are highly sought after by Army fans and Veterans alike. Both the current year’s merchandise, as well as the merchandise for the 10th mountain, featured jerseys that were sold out in a matter of a few hours. There was no option to buy them again after the first run. Army fans have collectively voiced the desire for high quality versions of the jerseys available (with sewn on numbers and patches, like the 2016 jersey featuring the 82nd Airborne). West Point women graduated also feel frustrated at jerseys not being offered in womens sizing. Army fans and veterans alike would love to support our team and divisions with these jerseys. We are hoping with this petition we will be able to purchase the jerseys that saw West Point earn the Commander-in-Chiefs trophy for the first time in over 20 years. There is no substitute for victory!

We want Mesut Özil Back

Mesut Özil has announced his retirement from international football with immediate effect, the midfielder hitting out at what he perceived to be unfair discrimination surrounding his meeting with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in May.
Özil was a member of the Germany squad that went out of the World Cup finals in Russia at the group stage and was the target of criticism for his performances as well as his meeting with Erdoğan, who has been accused of human rights abuses.
Arsenal’s Unai Emery offers Mesut Özil support after demoralising World Cup
The Arsenal midfielder has Turkish ancestry and defended his actions in a lengthy statement and one in which he launched a scathing attack on the German football federation (DFB). “For me, having a picture with President Erdoğan wasn’t about politics or elections, it was about me respecting the highest office of my family’s country,” Özil wrote on Twitter.

“My job is a football player and not a politician, and our meeting was not an endorsement of any policies. The treatment I have received from the DFB and many others makes me no longer want to wear the German national team shirt. I feel unwanted and think what I have achieved since my international debut in 2009 has been forgotten.”
Making direct reference to Reinhard Grindel, president of the DFB, Özil added: “People with racially discriminative backgrounds should not be allowed to work in the largest football federation in the world that has players from dual‑heritage families. Attitudes like theirs simply do not reflect the players they supposedly represent. In the eyes of Grindel and his supporters, I am German when we win but I am an immigrant when we lose

Interview Michael Johnson for Oregon State Football Head Coach Position

We need to get Michael Johnson the wide receiver coach at University of Oregon an interview for the Oregon State job. Many of you got the opportunity to play while he was coaching and for those of you who didn't, here is a little bit of info about Mike. He has earned a shot and I believe if we can get him an interview, he will do the rest.
He coached receivers for Mike Riley in 97 and 98 and coached quarterbacks for Dennis Erickson in 99. He's been the offense coordinator at UCLA and in San Francisco for the 49ers. He coached quarterbacks in San Diego with Mike with the Chargers. He has coached quarterbacks and was OC under Wade Phillips for the Falcons and recievers for the Ravens. His son is one of the top rated dual threat sophomore quarterback's in the country going to Sheldon.
He was with me and Mike at Oregon State coaching receivers and quarterbacks when Keith Heyward Jr was playing defensive back. Keith is now the safeties coach at University of Oregon and would make a great addition with Mike on the defense of side of the ball. Mike was the quarterback coach that brought Jonathan Smith from an undersized, underdeveloped quarterback to the starting quarterback the next year for the Fiesta Bowl team.
Mike not only is an offensive genius but he can recruit the West Coast like nobody. He was a private quarterback coach for several years. He knows every top notch player on the West Coast and he is the kind of guy the players flock to.
Help me figure out how to get to the right people to get him an interview. He checks all the boxes and I guarantee if he gets an interview with his Oregon State connections and his West Coast connections he will make it onto the final list.
One of the finest coaches I've ever had the pleasure of coaching with and one of the best people. Solid wife, solid kids, no skeletons in his closet. Just a players coach with decades of experience.
We contact Jedd Fisch but not Michael Johnson? That guy was an assistant working under Michael in Baltimore. Winning in Corvallis is all about recruiting and Mike is one of the top recruiters on the West Coast. He was a major factor in the turn around at Oregon State around Mike's first tenure and with Dennis. Ask either one of those guys and they will tell you that he was the top recruiter on either one of their staffs.
If Michael Johnson gets an interview, I bet money they hire him. If you have people you know at OSU, beat the drum and shake the cage. I'm telling you quys, he is the guy.

Honour Fergus McCann

McCann's wealth stemmed initially from a golf vacation company, based in Montreal and Phoenix. He is best known for his involvement in Celtic F.C., the football club based in Glasgow. In 1972, he obtained the satellite television rights to broadcast the Celtic v Internazionale 1971–72 European Cup semi-final in 1972 in Toronto.

McCann acquired a 51% controlling stake in the Celtic Football and Athletic Company Ltd. in 1994 for £9.5m, after it became clear that the club was facing bankruptcy.[1] Acting as a guarantor for the club's £7 million debt, he injected additional finance, floated the club on the London Stock Exchange as a public limited company, Celtic plc, in order to raise capital from a share issue, and oversaw an extensive redevelopment of Celtic Park. He raised £14m in a share issue, and that contributed to funding the rebuilding work of the team and the stadium. By the end, Celtic had 53,000 season ticket holders.[2]

What some perceived as McCann's abrasive manner, coupled with his preoccupation with building a sustainable infrastructure for the club off the field rather than a title winning one on it, prompted sustained criticism during much of his tenure.[3][4] Although credited with rescuing the club from imminent bankruptcy, McCann stated at the outset that he would stay for only five years, with the objectives of placing the club on a firmer business footing and returning the league championship to Celtic Park. The latter goal was met, halting Glasgow rivals Rangers F.C. in their quest for a record-breaking ten consecutive league titles.

In 1999, McCann sold his shares, leaving Irish entrepreneur Dermot Desmond as the largest shareholder, with a 19.8% holding. As his successors McCann appointed Allan MacDonald as Chief Executive and Frank O'Callaghan as Chairman.[5] McCann offered an interest-free payment plan to encourage individuals, rather than financial institutions, to purchase shares. The result was that small shareholders - principally supporters of the club - owned 63% of the stock at the time of McCann's departure.[6] McCann personally profited in a significant way from the sale of the bulk of his shareholding. Since leaving Glasgow in 1999 he has maintained his routine of purchasing four season tickets every year.[2]

NFL Superbowl Blackout

Let's start by saying I didn't like the words that president Trump chose in explaining the protest by NFL Players . However I have felt for several weeks that a NFL player can make a phone call any day of the week to any media outlet and have a means to talk about any inequalities or any injustice they choose to address . For any person or player to not stand for the flag is the wrong platform to choose for a protest . If your child wants to get your attention and throws a rock through your window . You then scream at your child and ask him why he did it , and the child says mom I had something really important to tell you . At that point does it really matter what the child has to say . My point is that whether you agree or disagree with the protest , the vehicle being used for the protest is a poor choice . Just because it will get the attention of people , it does not make it right . I consider myself a huge NFL fan , but it's up to us as fans to show players and the NFL that we will not accept any player or person kneeling during our country's great anthem . Too many men and women of all races and backgrounds have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms . I know many people will say , well this protest is one of these such freedoms . I feel that this is just a poor excuse . If you feel the words of president Trump were divisive and cause such a reaction , then look in the mirror and understand that kneeling for the flag will cause a divisive response as well .To sum it up , today I will choose to turn my tv off if such a massive protest exists.

Bring Football Back to Bonac.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017 the East Hampton School officials cancelled the football program due to low enrollment stating to the press that "the decision to pull the plug this week was made so that the players who were turning out for football practices could switch to other fall sports if they wished." There was no discussion with the parents and very little with the players in regards to this. Within less the 24 hours the program was completely shut down. A majority of the team have voiced that they do not want to play another fall sport, they want to play football. As of Friday evening the kids have recruited at least 5 more players. After speaking with a majority of the football parents, they have stated that they were in agreement that this was done prematurely with no communication with us. Please sign this petition, we need as many signatures as possible in the next few days to show that the community supports our kids and their efforts to bring football back to Bonac ONLY if we can get enough players, with experience, recruited by Monday evening. We support our coaches 110% along with all administration and our Board of Education. Safety always comes first. This is not an attack on anyone but a request for a reconsideration of decision by the Board of Education and Joe Vasile-Cozzo, the athletic director IF we can bring enough experienced players to the team by Monday evening. We are just trying to help our kids do what they love...safely. Please share on social media, whether near or far every signature counts.

Chrissie Sam and Browny to get around the Colts

We write to you from the Warragul Colts Stables in Gippsland on behalf of the Women’s Football Team. The Colts commenced pre-season in November 2016 and have been hard at training ever since. At the time of writing we stand undefeated for the 2017 season.
At 1pm on 18 June 2017, the Warragul Colts Women’s Football Club will be playing against Cerberus/Crib Point – also known within our league as the “Navy Team” given their reputation for having a number of players whom represent the Navy. Whilst we currently sit close to the top of the ladder, our battle against Cerberus/Crib Point will be our toughest challenge yet.
At our Cerberus/Crib Point showdown we will be hosting a Sponsors Day offering the opportunity for our player and club sponsors to come down and see the team in action. We will be having a BBQ along with raffles to help support our Women’s Team with the equipment and facilities that allow us to take the field, improve our game and for some of us to follow in the clubs very own Bob Murphy and play AFL.
Our team has set up a petition in an attempt to seek the attendance of our favourite radio hosts Chrissie, Sam and Browny at our local club in Warragul to support, advertise, commentate our game and a potential pump up talk from Browny to the team. This game will consist of the top two sides in the league going head-to-head. It is guaranteed to be a nail-biter!
We are hoping to use our own initiative to show the community that Women’s football is important. It is the fastest growing, most popular sport in Australia today. We want the Colts Youth Girl Team to aspire to be a part of the Women’s side. We hope to have a well-established and supported team by 2018.
Please sign our petition to help us in our attempt to get Chrissie, Sam & Browny down at our game on Sunday 18 June 2017!
We hope to see you there!

Show Aston Villa vs Birmingham City 23/4/17 on Sky Sports TV.

Aston Villa vs Birmingham City is known to be one of the best derbys in English football. However said, Sky Sports have announced they won't be sharing this footage due to other games being played and they feel they want to focus more on the playoffs.

This has left Birmingham City and Aston Villa's fan base a bit disappointed due to us having a worldwide fan base and supporters in countries like Australia and New Zealand. Supporters in these countries can't get a ticket because of how quick they will sell out so showing this intense Derby on Sky Sports will help Sky for revenue and will also make fans happy seeing as they can watch the game both set of supporters have been waiting for.
