Save Rossbeigh Beach

In recent years, Rossbeigh Beach has experienced increased and dramatic sand loss; Rossbeigh dunes are eroding at a much faster rate than comparable beaches in Kerry. With much of the beach now only usable at low tides, we are bracing for a loss in tourism which will impact local businesses. If erosion continues at this rate the loss of Rossbeigh will leave shorelines at Cromane, Dooks, Glenbeigh and beyond exposed to much harsher sea states and impact the safety of those communities. Rossbeigh is a legendary ancient landscape and a rare and rich coastal habitat which we should protect for future generations.

Persuade Meath County Council to establish a Fenced Dog Run in Dunshaughlin Park

As the proud owner of a playful new puppy, I have come to appreciate the irresistible joy that dogs derive from running freely and socialising with their furry friends. This experience is fundamental to their well-being, particularly in their formative stages of life, as it helps shape their sociability traits and physical health.

In Dunshaughlin, many dog owners share the same sentiment. Thus we request a dedicated, fenced dog run in Dunshaughlin Park. This safe enclosure will allow dogs to frolic and mingle without restrictions. It will also ensure harmony within the park’s ecosystem, as other visitors will feel secure knowing dogs are safely contained in their designated area.

Importantly, Dunshaughlin Park already has adequate waste bins for responsible dog poo disposal. Moreover, the proposed site is centrally located for easy, convenient access by residents of our village.

Informal surveys amongst local dog owners suggest considerable support for this initiative. The benefits are clear; a study by Bristol University found that dogs with less access to exercise and socialising opportunities tend to display more behavioural problems, (Source: Bristol University’s Anthrozoology Institute). Therefore, the establishment of a dedicated dog run in our park would significantly boost these valued opportunities.

Drawing from these sincere insights, we appeal to Meath County Council to consider our request. For our dogs, for our community, for Dunshaughlin – let’s ensure that our park serves every member of our community, including our beloved dogs! Please sign this petition to support our cause.

More democratic debate needed on Ireland's current open borders policy

Do you agree that more democratic debate, discussion and public consultation is needed regarding the Irish State's current open borders policy?

The petition has been organised by HOME (Holistic Outlook on the Migration Emergency). We are a grassroots, non-partisan group of concerned Mayo locals, who are seeking alternative, workable solutions to the migration crisis.

The Sports Centre at the Breaffy complex is to be turned into permanent accommodation for International Protection Applicants and yet the public have not been made aware of this development which has permanent implications for the people of Breaffy, Castlebar and Mayo.

County councillors claim they have been kept in the dark and that they’ve no power to stop plans by the county management (Tom Gilligan & Kevin Kelly), who are acting on behalf of The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, rather then acting in the best interests of Mayo residents.

STOP LIFE THREATENING Solar Farm at Rathduff Stud, Tipperary - #wedonotconsent

A proposal for a 43.68 Hectare Solar Panel Farm, has been submitted FOR THE SECOND TIME, to Tipperary County Council, by Rathduff Stud, Thomastown, Tipperary, a place of Prime Certified Organic Golden Vale Agricultural Land.
The proposal is for 40 YEARS of harm, distress and pollution to the Residential locality.....
This new Solar Energy Installation, would severely impact, our local Resident's Lives, Wildlife and Livelihoods, in only a negative manner. Environmental Habitat, Flora and Fauna Loss ,particularly Birds. Inhibited Vegetation growth, Noise, Light and Radiation Pollution, leading to damage to Human Health, such as Cancer, Sterility, Tumors and Low Immunity.
Not to mention the Fire Hazard of such a Farm - Lightning is attracted to Solar Panels, which contain Cadmium Telluride, this Toxin has specific chemical properties, which are especially hazardous to ALL LIFE FORMS residing near Solar Power Plants.
The Sulphuric Acid Batteries used in Photovoltaic Solar Plants, expel Toxic Fumes when current travels through them.
Lead Solders seep poison in to groundwater, making it extremely hazardous to individuals in the area.
Storms and Heavy Winds will also pose a great danger, Solar panels are typically made cheaper, in China, where they use Aluminium instead of Steel to construct, this material breaks down easily in heavy winds, making Toxic Flying Debris a common hazard of Solar Farms.
The Golden Vale of Ireland, is famed for it's fertility, beauty and biodiversity.
Why would anybody want to Industrialize it?
We Do Not Consent. We Will Never Consent.

Stop Wastewater Treatment Plan

There is a Wastewater Treatment Plan proposed to be erected beside IKEA.
It will release hazardous gases which are dangerous to all of our health. These gases will have a foul odour making for a very unpleasant smell in our area. Should the building go ahead there will be major issues with traffic during its creation and ultimately it will devalue our properties.

Knocklyon Utd Save our pitches

Knocklyon Utd FC is a progressive community-based club that is committed to providing the best possible facilities for the use of our players, parents and the local community. Over thirty years ago we started with a single team, we now cater for nearly 600 players of all ages. Our mission to this day is to provide football for all ages, girls and boys regardless of ability. A team of 100 dedicated volunteers selflessly run the club to the highest standards.
The club is currently experiencing rapid growth due to the explosion of housing developments within the local area (in excess of 4000 approved homes either under construction or awaiting development) and needs to increase the facilities we already have to meet the growing demand. We are currently growing at a rate of 20% per annum which means that within 4 years we could potentially be meeting the sporting needs of 1000 girls and boys of all ages.
To lose the pitches at Ballycullen Park will have a devastating impact on Knocklyon Utd FC and the greater community at large. Currently every week 450 children between the ages of 7 years and 12 years of age use the pitches at Ballycullen. Every week hundreds of children from all over Dublin and the surrounding counties travel to Ballycullen Park to enjoy partaking in sport regardless of their ability. Removal of the pitches will result in the immediate lack of facilities for 450 of our youngest players and their opponents who travel to play them week in week out due to no available alternative site in the area.
Ballycullen Park is situated in the heart of the parish of Knocklyon, it can be safely accessed by a network of paths and pedestrian crossings from all directions. The recently constructed club house funded jointly by Knocklyon Utd and a Capital Sports Grant had ample safe off-street parking. Ballycullen Park is fully enclosed with only 2 points of access making it extremely safe for younger children.
We the people of Knocklyon Utd FC are totally opposed to any development at Ballycullen Park that removes, reduces or impacts negatively on this precious vibrant local amenity.
We would sincerely appreciate your help by signing this petition to help secure our future.

Louisburgh is a satellite town, and a gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way, specifically Dulough Valley&Conemara.
Louisburgh needs a fine dining restaurant to cater for locals and holiday makers all year round. It will provide another choice of dining out options, and improve the visual appearance of a building in the very center of town which has fallen into disuse for 3-4 years.
It will also provide 4 to 6 people with permanent, year round employment.

Kevin's Hurling & Camogie Club call on GAA Central Council, New Ard Stiurthoir, Dublin GAA, Dublin City Council, local politicians and An Bord Pleanala to work with Kevin's to preserve all of the GAA sportsfields at Dolphin Park, to find a better solution/design to enable Dolphin Park to service a growing GAA community. We want to assist to develop & enhance Dolphin Park not diminish it's core value as a sportsground. We want to continue to engage future generations of children and young people in organised competitive sport.

The GAA have an opportunity to provide for the children and young people of these parishes NOW and for future generations, no more or less than is available to every child in the nation: a right to a place locally to play, kick or puck a ball and reap the benefits of participation in organised competitive sport.

In total, across the 3 Electoral Divisions in the Mahon Blackrock and surrounding areas, there is a population of 13,104 people living in 4,814 households.A library for the Mahon/Blackrock area would serve a population far beyond that of the Electoral Divisions. It would also include the area of Ballinlough which also has a population of 3,991 as well as a numbers of large employers/employees
e.g. CSO,Dell,EMC and Mahonpoint, all of whom would also benefit from having access to a local library service.
A Library would also be of huge benefit to the staff and children in all the 10 schools within the area.
