Ensure Inclusive Education for Students of All Abilities

Across Pakistan, many students with physical, sensory, or learning differences continue to face barriers in accessing equal educational opportunities. Schools often lack accessible infrastructure, trained support staff, and awareness programs that promote acceptance and inclusion.

Inclusive education is closely linked to students’ emotional well-being, confidence, and social development. Research shows that when schools provide supportive and inclusive environments, all students benefit through improved empathy, collaboration, and academic engagement.

This petition highlights the need to strengthen inclusive practices in schools so that every learner can participate fully, safely, and with dignity.

PREVENT URBAN FLOODING IN KARACHI

PROBLEMS:
Urban flooding occurs every year during the monsoon season. Water getting into homes and destroying property is a concern in both affluent and impoverished areas. Some of the main issues caused by urban flooding are:

•	Sewerage water enters homes and mixes with water tanks.
•	Using polluted water causes various health problems.
•	Electrocution cases rise because of flooded roads.
•	Drowning cases rise due to flooding.
•	Power outage which lasts for many days.
•	Flooded roads limit access to hospitals.

Despite the metropolitan office’s weather predictions and tall claims by authorities, each monsoon brings with it the same level of unpreparedness. The Sindh government and KMC take no visible action. Organizations such as DHA, CBC, KDA, and KWSB are equally incompetent.

SHUT DOWN SAHIWAL COAL POWER ENERGY PLANT

PROBLEM:

The Sahiwal Coal Power Project is a coal power plant project located in the province of Punjab in Pakistan by the name of Huaneng Shandong Ruyi (Pakistan) Energy (Limited). It has an installed capacity of 1320 MW. The power plant is located about (12 mi) from Sahiwal and (9.3 mi) from Okara cantonment, just north of the road that connects the two towns in Pakistan's Punjab Province.

Air pollution from coal-fired power plants is linked with asthma, cancer, heart and lung ailments, neurological problems, allergies, acid rain, global warming, and has other severe environmental and public health impacts.
Coal has long been a reliable source of energy, but it comes with tremendous costs because it is incredibly dirty. The same chemistry that enables coal to produce energy—breaking down of carbon molecules—also produces several profoundly harmful environmental impacts and pollutants that harm public health. Air pollution and global warming are two of the most serious issues that impact health.

SOLUTION:
•	Educate the masses about its impact on air quality.
•	Identify and develop renewable energy sources to augment the country’s power supply.
•	More solar and wind farms should be built as soon as possible.
•	More trees should be planted to improve air quality.
•	More air filtration plants can be added to improve air quality.

Stop the Government of Pakistan from deporting Turkish teachers

A school with richest infrastructure; lots of Pakistani students enjoying scholarships, lots of others have already availed and have moved to numerous universities in different parts of the world; decent, educated, courteous, innocent Turkish people busy serving this society for the last 19 years…… there is no measuring tool with which to evaluate how much they did for us, but see the kind of reward! An urgent, insulting notice asking them to quit Pakistan Soil till 20th November. This is not how it's supposed to end. This isn't the reward of their Efforts, Love and Care for the people of this country. This decision doesn't only involve the Gov. it's is the future of thousands of Pakistani students.

PakTurk wouldn't be the same without these self sacrificing people. We strongly condemn this unjust decision. Where are the human rights? Where are the Islamic teachings? Where is humanity? The people who spend the golden period of their life in difficult conditions of extremely hot and freezing cold weathers of Pakistan, who didn't care of long power shut downs, who stayed in the conflict zones of our border provinces but didn't leave the sacred mission of imparting education, are now being asked to leave the country in 3 days and that too with their innocent children and infants! What a shame! What a disgrace for us being Pakistanis! What an unfaithful attitude!

Remove the Toxins around Us

A huge fog has engulfed Lahore, affecting visibility and forcing people to stay indoors. However, its not just fog, but a man-made smog that’s caused by pollution and other man made circumstances.

This smog is a highly toxic and can cause serious respiratory problems for people who may find it difficult to breath all of a sudden. Smog can also hurt eyes and nose by causing irritation. In Lahore, over the last past years, a smog descends every December. It is so thick that even airplane flights to Lahore are canceled as a result. In the last 5 years, this smog has grown way worse, owing to poor air quality and high amount of pollution caused by vehicles and factories.

The cutting down of trees and rapid industrialization has not helped matters as well, something that the development-focused authorities should do well to heed as well.Lahore is now considered as one of the most polluted cities in Asia. In winter months, all the pollutants tend to collect in the lower level of the atmosphere due to rains, cold spells and dry condition.

Experts state that factories in India across Eastern Punjab are to be blame as well, given their reliance on coal use. The emissions and pollutants from there carry over to this side of the border and make things worse.

Free Asia Bibi from Death Sentence

Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian woman has been sentenced to hang till death on November 10th 2010, after she was accused of making 'blasphemous' comments about the prophet Mohammed during an argument.

While working as a berry picker in 2009, 46-year-old Asia Bibi got into a dispute with a group of Muslim women who objected to her drinking their water because as a Christian she was considered 'unclean'. Hours after the incident one of the women reported mother-of-five Ms Bibi to a local cleric, claiming she had made disparaging remarks about the prophet Mohammed during the row. As a result of the allegations, a furious mob arrived at Ms Bibi's home and savagely beat her and members of her family. She was later arrested, charged with blasphemy and eventually sentenced to death - with her entire family forced to go into hiding after receiving threats on their lives.

The shocking case hit global headlines after two prominent politicians ( Former Minister Shahbaz Bhatti and former Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer) who tried to help Ms Bibi were assassinated. Lawyers showered the killer ( governor’s own body guard) with rose petals when he appeared in court and the judge who convicted him of murder had to flee the country.

Lately, on 6th October 2016 on Thursday; case of Asia Bibi was fixed for hearing by the full bench of Supreme court (three judge bench). During the hearing one of the three judges excused to sit n the hearing. Now her case has been sine die adjourned. It’s a height of injustice, because justice delayed is justice denied.

It is therefore, supplicated before the entire International Community to mobilize a campaign towards the acquittal of innocent Asia Bibi; who has been ensnared in the clutch of the blasphemy laws and set her free from the Death sentence.

Stop Children being Kidnapped in Pakistan

The news of the kidnapping of 712 children in Punjab sent a chill down my spine. According to data, in 2015, some 1,200 children were kidnapped in the province and the figure for the current year is 767; while 312 children were abducted in Lahore.
It is shocking that Punjab is a safe haven for kidnappers. These children are kidnapped for many reasons like pedophilia, ransom money, trade, and beggary through children, transformation into militants or suicide bombers, and even for extracting vital organs of the kidnapped. One can realize the pain and suffering of the families of the kidnapped children.

We are signing this petition for General Raheel Sharif (COAS PAKISTAN) as we have already lost all our hopes from governing body of Pakistan. They are sleeping and taking no notice of this until there is going to be threat for their own children. They have failed to stop this hideous crime against humanity and our nation.

No matter i am living abroad, but being a democratic citizen of Pakistan, i feel its my duty to raise voice against this serious issue.

Regards: Adeel Hashmi

July 08 as National Charity Day

ARY Network proposes July 08, death anniversary of Abdul Sattar Edhi, as National Charity Day.

Celebrated social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi who breathed his last on July 08, opened his first clinic in 1951 to begin his lifelong journey for the welfare of the downtrodden segments of Pakistani society.

Motivated by a spiritual quest for justice, over the years Edhi and his team have created maternity wards, morgues, orphanages, shelters, and homes for the elderly aimed at helping those in society who cannot help themselves.

He was also mentioned in the Guinness Book of world records for the largest fleet of ambulances, offering help to poor sections of the society failed by inadequate public health and welfare services. These 1500 ambulances are the most prominent symbols of the foundation deployed to the scene in case of an emergency or extremist attack.

The foundation's adoption service sees unwanted children -- many of them girls -- left in cradles placed in front of every centre, where they can be safely cared for.

Edhi discovered that many women were killing their unwanted babies at birth often because they were born outside marriage. One newborn child was stoned to death outside a mosque on the orders of religious leaders. He placed a little cradle outside every Edhi centre, beneath a placard saying: "Do not commit another sin: leave your baby in our care." Edhi has so far saved 35,000 babies and and also found families to cherish them.
