Cadw NatWest Rhuthun / Save Ruthin NatWest

Mae NatWest, is-gwmni y banc RBS eiddo i'r Llywodraeth, am gau naw cangen yn y Gogledd, gan cynnwys Rhuthun. Rydym yn gwrthwynebu amddifadu cymunedau sydd angen mynediad i ganghennau banc, yn arbennig ar gyfer busnesau bach lleol a grwpiau gwirfoddol sydd angen i enillion banc yn rheolaidd.

Ar ben hyn, mae'r NatWest yn Rhuthun yn adeilad eiconig ar sgwâr hanesyddol y dref ac mewn perygl o gael ei adael i fynd i gyflwr gwael os bydd yn cau ym mis Mehefin 2017.

Rydym yn galw ar NatWest i gadw gwasanaethau bancio yn Rhuthun.

NatWest, a subsidiary of the Government-owned RBS bank, has announced it is closing nine branches in north Wales, including Ruthin. We are opposed to this abandonment of communities that rely on access to bank branches, especially for small local businesses and voluntary groups that need to bank takings on a regular basis.

Furthermore the NatWest bank in Ruthin is an iconic building on the historic town square and is in danger of falling into disrepair if it closes in June 2017.

We call on NatWest to keep banking services in Ruthin.

Wrexham, along with other parts of Wales, celebrated our national football team's success in the Euro 2016 Championships. This is Welsh football's spiritual home and we want to build on this feel-good factor by having a permanent legacy for our town and our country.

We, the undersigned, call on Wrexham Council to work with local businesses and other institutions to erect Welsh flags in the town centre and other strategic sites to provide a visible, colourful and attractive display for visitors and local people alike.

(One of the best and beautiful countries in Europe should have their flag next to Mrs jones' selfie!)

Mae HSBC wedi cyhoeddi eu bwriad i gau canghenau yn Bermo, Tywyn a Blaenau
Ffestiniog erbyn Medi 2016. Bydd hyn yn gadael tref Blaenau Ffestiniog (trydydd tref fwyaf Gwynedd) heb DDIM banc ac yn dilyn penderfyniad NatWest i dynnu eu gwasanaeth o'r trefi yn 2015. Mae'r penderfyniad wedi ei wneud heb unrhyw fath o ymgynghoriad a'r cyhoedd, busnesau a cynrychiolwyr gwleidyddol.
-------------------------------------
HSBC have announced their intention to close branches in Barmouth, Tywyn and Blaenau Ffestiniog by September 2016. This would leave Blaenau Ffestiniog (Gwynedd County's third largest town) with NO bank and follows NatWest's withdrawal from the towns in 2015. The decision has been taken without any prior consultation with the public, businesses or political representatives.

HSBC have announced plans to close its branches in two Wrexham villages.

The bank confirmed that its branches in Chirk and Ruabon are to close on Friday 8th April 2016 – with plans to write to customers on Monday advising them of the closures.

Customers will be transferred to the HSBC branch in Wrexham Town Centre which is an 11 mile drive from Chirk and five miles away from Ruabon.

HSBC have said that the decision to close the two banks comes is made with ‘great reluctance’, stating that following ‘careful analysis of both branch’s commercial viability it was clear that they are no longer generating the custom necessary to justify their continued operation’.

It comes as what the bank has described as a ‘dramatic change to people’s banking habits’. The closure of the two HSBC branches will not result in any redundancies with HSBC confirming that staff will be located elsewhere.

However decision to close the two branches has been slammed by politicians, with local Penycae and Ruabon South Councillor Joan Lowe said it was a disgrace and would impact on local people and the business community. I've been in touch with the local MP Susan Elan Jones who s taking up in Westminister via the department of Business, innovations and skills who seem to be letting local community down

“Both branches are situated in areas of growing business development and serve customers from villages around them. HSBC’s decision comes after decisions to close branches across many other villages and small towns across the country, including Llangollen, Corwen, Cefn and Rhos.

“Bank branches like these are very important to everyone locally, particularly elderly customers, the disadvantaged and local businesses, especially small and medium sized businesses.

Help make crossing the main road in churchstoke safer!

It is well known that there are health and safety issues in relation to people who live in the community of Churchstoke and others crossing the main road. Two of these issues are:

1, Vehicles speeding through Churchstoke
2, Vehicles not stopping for people to safely cross the zebra crossing situated by Tuffins stores.

Vehicles speeding through Churchstoke is a daily occurrence as is people complaining about vehicles not stopping for them as they wait to cross the zebra crossing. This could be due to a couple of reasons which involve the speed they are going and the drivers not spotting the zebra crossing in time.

Myself and my whole family on one occasion were half way across the zebra crossing when a 4x4 truck which was speeding nearly ploughed us all over. The truck didn't stop to apologise and carried on going.

If you feel passionate for a change on this situation then please sign this petition.

Addysg Gymraeg yn Wrecsam / Welsh-medium education in Wrexham

Mae galw cynnyddol am addysg Gymraeg yn Wrecsam a galwn ar y Cyngor i asesu'r galw at y dyfodol drwy gynnal arolwg tebyg i un yn 2007, pan holwyd rhieni plant dwyflwydd oedd yn y sir. Dangosodd hyn y byddai 44% yn danfon eu plant i ysgol Gymraeg pe bai o fewn dwy filltir i'r cartref. O ganlyniad codwyd Ysgol Bro Alun er mwyn ateb y galw ond bellach mae hwn yn llawn.

There is growing demand for Welsh-medium education in Wrexham and we call on the Council to assess future demand by conducting a survey similar to that in 2007, when parents of two-year-old children in the county were questioned. This showed that 44% of parents would send their children to a Welsh-medium school if it was within two miles of their home. As a result Ysgol Bro Alun was built to accommodate the demand but it is now already oversubscribed.
