After visiting the Market last week for a documentary I am making on dog abuse, I realised that all these animals live in dreadful conditions and probably wouldn't make it past the week!

Together we need to end abuse!

On January 16th 2009 "Etisalat" blocked DeviantART. A huge portion of UAE users have made DeviantArt their home, from Traditional Artists to Photographers to Writers.

Till now no reason has been given to block the website. I request Etisalat and TRA to kindly respond.

On December 2006 "Etisalat" has Officaly blocked DeviantART.
A huge portion of UAE users have made DeviantArt their home, from Traditional Artists to Photographers to Writers.

To those who tried sending a complaint to Etisalat Help Desk got the following reply :

We are extremely sorry for the fact that the site you requested cannot be unblocked.

Reason: Dating.

In creating a dog park, we hope to accomplish multiple goals:

1. To establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canines can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife.

2. To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space, open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.

3. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the Dubai Municipality, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike.

Unfortunately, no off-leash dog parks currently exist in the vicinity of Dubai. Just as other residents enjoy the convenient of public beaches, parks, golf courses, and playgrounds, dog owners need a place to exercise and enjoy their pets in an off-leash environment.

A visit to the Sharjah animal market will guarantee you to be in shock after seeing for e.g. 2 large dogs in cages less than 2x4 no space for movement no water no food. Cats in bird cages even small dogs in bird cages!!!

Birds jam packed together in cramped conditions, some dead on the floor. This is only a fraction of the horrors there....

DeviantArt aims to provide a place for any artist to exhibit and discuss works. Works are organized in a comprehensive category structure, including photography, digital art, traditional art, literature, Flash, film making, and skins for applications, among others, along with extensive download able resources such as tutorials and stock photography.

Etisalat has blocked deviantart Yesterday 15-January-2009 and People are really annoyed by this because for some people in the uae (ex: me) actually see deviantart as their home on the internet were they spend most of their time surfing it!

People are hating etisalat for doing this, and i dont really know why they are not responding ! Please sign this Petition if you really understand what it means of losing something you really love, or if you are actually a deviantart lover, artist, or a photographer who wants to express his/her feelings through art and photography!
