Anonymous, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
I was disappointed when I heard that there was going to be no more Living Green Ribbon 2 years ago. I was told there would be one at the kidney walk but that never happened. I was told that it just wasn't doing as much as other events but it is not about money. I feel the Living Green Ribbon is about awareness and could lead to more people learning about the http://beadonor.ca site to register as a donor. Why would we get rid of an event that was created in the first place to raise awareness of the serious need for organ and tissue donors? This was always an event that involved people and got into the media giving us yet another chance to inspire people to talk about organ donation with their loved ones. Southwestern Ontario is sorely lacking in its attempts at raising awareness it seems.
