The F6 with the Loftus/Miranda tunnel would achieve precisely the opposite.

The numerous rat runs that through traffic use to cross from the Acacia Road/President Avenue intersection to Taren Point Bridge would be RETURNED to use by local traffic, making local commutes easier, and return residential roads to local traffic.

The residents of Sandringham Street and The Grand Parade, now the De Facto Highway 1, would also see their streets returned to peaceful local roads.

At the current increase in the Shire population, and consequent vehicle numbers,the situation is urgent.

Sydney's Motorways currently lag far behind Melbourne and Brisbane, and we need to catch up.
