While my grandfather was an immigrant, NOT a refugee, he was a Christian fleeing life in a Muslim country. He wanted to give ALL of his children a better life than he had received in his homeland. Once he got here, he never went back because he loved his new life here!</p> <p>I wish there was someway I could help host a family and make their transition to our lifestyle more relaxed. We have a large enough home to help a family but, with both of us still looking for full time work, money is not one thing we have to spare. We will pray for their safe arrival and hope they will all find good homes that will help them make the adjustment to their new lifestyle. They have each lost SO much and we all have SO much to offer. I just hope they get here soon and can start their new lives here with loving families to help them make the adjustment to our lifestyle.</p> <p>Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help these refugees out when they arrive in Canada. We will do what we can.</p> <p>Also, thank you to PM Harper and those who helped him make a wise stand to monitor the refugees entering Canada. Some may say it's not necessary, but it really is.
