However, the installation process was a nightmare because of a succession of administrative and technical problems, almost all being because the electricity supplier really hadn't got their act together. We commissioned ourselve early for testing and as it apparently took so long. We had nothing to gain from being accredited early. We didn't start generating properly until April 2009 - but as we commissioned ourselves early, we beared all the costs of a new system, but are on the feed-in-tariff rate for those that had existing systems.

It has been on telly, everyone loves it. But, they can neither claim ROC nor FIT - due to the commissioning date falling in the gap between these two schemes.

In UK Microhydro, MCS is wasting everyones' time right now (clients, engineers, suppliers).

Glad I have other work in water resources which is not sabotaged by such ineptly managed and bureacratic schemes as MCS!
