They were starved intentionally by England, it wasnt just the crop of potato's England had the food and they kept it from the Irish. My father came from Co Mayo and mother Co Donegal. I recently saw Workhouses in Mayo, had no idea they existed, deplorable conditions, families split up, for up to two years, disgusting and heartbreaking... people should know all about them just like the concentration camps because it was the same thing that happened to the Irish Catholics just like the German Russian Polish Jews. We deserve more in the history books as the descendants who escaped on those COFFIN ships are here in the USA, if they made it as so many died on the journey, so when we are doing articles, museums, days to remember on the European Jews who where murdered please include the Irish Catholic's that starved at the hands of the the English. Man's inhumanity to man continues as we see still in the Middle East which I am so tired of hearing about and do not want to be there anymore. They have been fighting for centuries let them figure it out, we have lost too many of our own people. thank you and Godl Bless America
