The parents who are adopting the pet should be the responsible parties who should see to it that Iggy is treated properly by their children -- regardless of the age. Give the puppy back -- do what is right in this case. It is an injustice to place Iggy in yet another home. Do you really love the pet or are you stuck on principal. Take the higher ground. Give Iggy back.
