We already pay enough in taxes . You should be able to park in front of your house . This distracts police officers that should be patrolling our streets and keeping our community safe . This town targets the working people and looks the other way with the ongoing drug problem in our town . I m raising a family not someone else's in the town .

I recently moved to Pitman, in a house with no driveway, and this is the most ridiculous, absurd ordinance that I have ever seen. I have a 3 year old daughter, and a pregnant wife. Now I'm supposed to have them walk through rain/sleet/snow because I can't park on the street directly in front of my house? This creates multiple safety issues. For residents that have to park in alley way or in their backyard... do you want their children playing in a backyard with cars literally driving through the yards? Obviously there is a lot of concern with speeding on these streets, and this completely contradicts everything that is being done. Had I known this petty/pointless ordinance, I would not have moved my family to Pitman. I have no driveway to park at my residence, so now I guess my family is SOL, because the town wants to make a few extra dollars and de-prioritize the "safety" that they claim they are trying to promote. I'll have my 92 year old grandmother walk a few blocks through the snow while she stays over, that should do her some good. I will fight this rule until it is revised, or until I move from Pitman. I'm not putting my families safety in question for this petty ordinance.
