The defence is looking towards the ball carrier. What is the offensive blocker suppose to due, scream to get the would be tacklers attention before blocking him. Plus if your going to make this rule then turn it around. A tackler can't hit a reciever, running back or quarter back from the blind side!?! You're taking half the hits/tackles out of the game then!
