have to do self catherization on a daily basis since i have a bladder reflux and do not empty my bladder in full
all these bladder sling manufacturers got approval via a 510k which did not need clinical tests as long as it is a same product which was on the market.

OH MY GOD i have never know as much pain in my life, i couldnt sit down. couldnt stand up. i was crawling up the wall, my legs kept going in pins & needles they felt paralysed, the smell that was coming out of my vagina was horrendous, i overdosed on pain killers as nothing would shift the pain, i was sent home couldnt pee properly, ended up in A&E having a cathetar fitted they had to give me gas & air to get it in as i was in that much pain, went back to were i had surgery they put me a cathetar in that would stay for 7 days supposedly to rest my bladder from surgery as it would be swollen & bruised. what a load of crap i couldnt pee because of tvt, i couldnt sleep as i had read about all these goings on after surgery as well as the pain, i told the hospital i wanted it removing & luckily my gynacologist agreed to remove it i know now i have been one of the lucky ones, it was in my body 10 days, 10 days too long, had it removed yesterday 22nd Aug, feel like a new woman, no smelly blood coming from me, i feel calm, NO PAIN, its bloody disgusting how they can get away with this, i was given no information at all,

I have sustained life altering injuries as a result of having this implanted in my body. At the time I did so, I was not aware that there were no clinical trials, and therefore the safety and efficacy of the product had not been proven.

Had I been made aware of any of the complications associated with this device; I would never have agreed to the surgery!
