He deserved a much better story line than was written for him, and you are always speaking of the "underdog". Well, the fact that he isn't the stongest actor or dancer is exactly why he should get to stay...he still IS the underdog and we still love him! It was all of you that decided to blur fantasy into reality by developing TGP in the first place, so now we all know who these kids really are. Do you really root for the underdog, or are you now saying to us that you have to be PERFECT to play one on your show? Damian is a gem, and we would love to see him get an actual story line instead of warming the seat in the choir room...move his family to America, give him some romance, show him having trouble learning to dance, give him something UPBEAT to sing! Just please don't write him off until you've at least really written him on...!!

If he was given an actual storyline besides just being Irish, he could have done great things. The 'Glee' family will have a void without Damian. I think this season should have shown Rory growing as a performer and stepping up to fill the shoes of the seniors who left the Glee club. I think that showing a character grow in confidence and self-esteem would be a positive evolution to show young viewers. Damian was the favourite contestant on the 'The Glee Project' by a landslide and his fans will not let him go down without a fight.

I'm a mom of three (twenty something) adult children, an educator and nurse. I enjoyed watching the Glee Project and was truly excited to see Damian win. He is talented, genuine and nice and left his ego at the door. His (Rory) character could have been amazing - i.e learning to fit into an American high school and deal with the differences in culture; instead it was contrived, hokey and portrayed him as a leprechaun. Damian seems like a kind, caring, gifted singer who could have been written as a truly clean-cut role model instead of just another stuck up, boring, self absorbed, promiscuous teen or bully. I for one would like to see this hard-working, talented teen be given a second chance like Chord Overstreet was last season.
One final note, I like the way you bring in relevant issues and have brought these up in order to encourage discussion.
