In he beginning I believe He was great for the town but for many yrs he's taken an approach that doesn't keep in standards of what best for the all residents of Pendleton or his profession that the public should expect. His refusal to address concerns of residents when he doesn't see it as important enough to enforce laws has not only amazed me but others also. He pits residents against each other by revealing who's called to complain & has done this on many occasions. I have witnessed this myself. What he intends to accomplish by this is beyond me except that he doesn't agree with you so it's an attempt to shut you up by revealing your name & I think the law calls it intimidation. This is a very dangerous tactic & an unprofessional way for an officer of the law to act as the end result could mean more than just hurt feelings. If you've ever seen his F Book post (I have & I didn't hack him) he has a very biased approach towards politics & those that don't agree with his political beliefs, which I am sure he's cleaned up or blocked by now. If his post was hacked as he says why didn't he clean it up many, many, mths ago as that has been his view for a long time now. Why wouldn't anybody ever think a persons personal beliefs wouldn't bleed over into his/her professional life? I would expect another officer to defend him as it's called the blue line & one reason why there's been such a backlash lately about cops /officials being untouchable. He is paid by the taxpayers, all taxpayers, to represent all, race, creed, political views, etc. without bias. I've had conversations with others about his approach but most are afraid to call or comment since they know/knew he'll probably stay here & are afraid & don't want to get on the wrong side of his law. Me, personally just I'm tired of his excuses, & he's good at it, every time I've tried to voice a concern. No I'm not a snowflake, radical, liberal, conservative as I wouldn't want anybody to lose a job but just a citizen that expects what we pay him for, to do his job in an equal way!! So now you know "my" view. I am sure many would & will come to his defense but then you've never been put in the position I have seen him cause. As a person I like him & respect what he has done for Pendleton but as a cop I don't respect him & I am one who respect most cops as their jobs are thankless as most people who represent the public such as the town council. I haven't heard any apologies about his post only an excuse which is all too often an easy way out. Maybe he & others don't feel as he needs to apologize & that's fine but take your political, biased views somewhere else, not in Pendleton on "all" taxpayers money. It's time for him to move on!
