We are in the wake of a serious power struggle over resources and basic rights to clean air and water. We need clean, renewable energy. The economy will never be saved until we save our environment because everything depends on its health. Last year was our hottest year on record worldwide and as a result in July global food prices went up by 10% from droughts throughout Europe and US farming areas because of global warming. We cannot AFFORD to put off addressing climate change the way past generations have. If we're going to keep this earth AT ALL livable for my generation and my 11 and 9 year old niece and nephew, we have to take the denial of further power to the fossil fuel industry seriously. Do not take the cop out, "If we don't someone else will" because exports happen on the coasts and the coasts have the most progressive states-- we can stop coal exports and facilitate a clean renewable energy economy. We are living in an era where actions have serious moral consequences. Deny the permits!
