My husband is almost deaf and with the helment on he can not hear the police or ambulances behind him. I have to scream for him to haer me. We spent most of our days riding to KY and OH to spend our money because we don't have to wear helments. If you would like more money spent in TN give up your helment law and you could get more riders to the smokey mountains and other great places in TN. The helment restricts hearing, sight at times. If you wreck going 70 MPH the helment is not going to save your broken neck or back. People who ride should be the ones who vote on this law. we are the ones that pay insurance and taxes on our bikes. I think that the State of TN has control of enough of our rights.
