The dog was so lovely and playful. I'd never met a dog so friendly. My mum's dog turned on me and I got my ear, face and hands bitten and scratched, yet nothing happened to that dog. If it had been a pitbull it would have been put down immediately! It's wrong that pitbulls are thought of this way. It's their OWNER'S fault, not the dog. Don't be prejudice against the breed because of their use for illegal dog fighting. Any dog can be aggressive and attack. Just because my mum's dog attacked me doesn't mean that it's particular breed is dangerous.

Dog attacks/altercations are a result of improper training and a lack of awareness of dog behaviour. We need to ensure that pet owners are given the education required to responsibly manage their pets. This can be done by providing obedience training and workshops, perhaps even mandatory classes for large breeds.
There should be laws and incentives in place to protect the public from dangerous animals, but let’s address the cause rather than blame the breed. This is breed prejudice, it is getting a lot of innocent dogs killed and it is doing nothing to prevent dog attacks. It is tearing families apart and doing irreparable damage to the relationship between the public and animal control. The success of animal control relies on public cooperation, respect, and funding to function.
Please drop this unfair attack on pit-bulls and instead address the issue of irresponsible dog ownership. Earn the respect and trust of the people in your communities by protecting them and all the members of their families. Work with them, not against them, to take every precaution

Angel defended a woman and her child from a man with a weapon, was also one of these dogs.
I would greatly support a piece of legislation that would protect others from attacks by any breed of dog. I would also hope that no more pit bulls, or any other dogs for that matter, would be killed needlessly.

No animal is "born bad". In the U.S. the Mchael Vick dogs who had been horribly mistreated and who we had every reason to believe could never be rehabilitated, have not only proven otherwise, they have become true ambassadors of good will, working to help others. Lift the ban ; it's just pain wrong.
