Unknowingly a NHS Social worker discovered the truth and stopped everything but too late so the deception continued. They want to talk to me. NO NO NO no explanation for the torture Helen suffered as all medical professionals walked away and she died screaming with pain when she died because no one would get involved. I begged them to take her off of pathway. Begrugingly they did, making me feel awful. 2 hours later, she came around and was fine, but she was flipping out. That night, she fought the nurses attaking them verbally, ripping her mask off, and she broke it. I beleve that, by stopping her drugs, she didn't cooperate when she came too, and she wouldnt keep her mask on, which meant she wasnt getting the oxygen and alowing the carbon manoxide to build up. she wasnt in her right mind, saying I was gonna kill her, that the drs were gonna kill her, saying her nebour had planned to kill her. the anti biotics didnt get a chance to to kick in to kill cheast infection. before she got the cheast infection she was fine. She did have COPD, but was fine. I think the hospital murdered her! Help!

LCP is just a way of murdering the elderly when they should still be enjoying life with all their family for many years to come. We all feel something needs to be done asap to stop this happening to other people and there families as i would never want anyone to go through what we have and still are, i honestly feel i will never be able to get over the shock of what has happened.

When negligence occurs in using this pathway, the results are catastrophic, you only have to look at the stories of all these families who feel that they have lost their loved ones unnecessarily, or nearly lost loved ones through the misuse of this pathway. Improve the regulations surrounding it's use and make sure that families are in agreement and give written consent etc. It would be interesting to compare the figures of people who are put on this pathway in private hospitals compared to NHS hospitals

She was on a large number of pain killers and only developed these sympoms after being put on ketamine. The LCP caused decisions to be made too quickly with no consultation or information. It seems to be just a legal way to kill people. I am shocked and disgusted this is allowed to happen so easily.

That is a recommendation based upon prognosis. BUT, as we all know that doctors are poor at prognosis. A decision that someone is dying in the next 72 hours may well not be reliable.
