The amount of extra lorries on the roads will cause no end of damage to them, causung damage to our cars not to mention the dangers to our children who cross them every day! What's the point of spending all that money on the Trans Pennine Way in our area when no-one will want to use it because of the smell! There manvers area has undergone massive regeneration which has resulted in a bird sanctury, golf couse, lake and new housing developments. The manvers area is developing into an attractive environment and we don't need this plant to undo all the hardwork over the past decade.

Whether incinerating the waste is the answer is debatable. Maybe some action should be taken to reduce the amount of waste generated by supermarkets who are the principle contributors, using packaging to facilitate handling, transport and storage in order to boost profits. Maybe a tax should be placed on PVC based products to restrict their production? I am sure ther are lots of alternatives.
