Anonymous, Port Richey, Florida, United States of America
The over population of roaming cats in Pasco County is way out of hand. The ONLY option given to those of us who do not want these stray cats disrupting our family, home, property and our own “properly” controlled pets, is to pay our hard earned money to trap/neuter/release these cats because of irresponsible owners who don’t care enough to responsibly do so themselves?!?! I find this unfair and appalling. A proper amendment to the law that allows these cats to roam freely is desperately needed. It should be amended to enforce strict laws that every cat must be properly licensed or the cats will be removed and rehomed. Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and properly contained at all times, the same rules should apply to cats and all domestic animals. It is neglectful to allow these cats to roam freely, placing their health, safety and lives in danger to the elements, natural predators and disease. Then neighborhood war begins when an outdoor roaming cat “owner” finds one of these cats have been killed and fingers are pointed at neighboring dogs. They seem to forget nature’s local predators such as coyotes, hawks and disease carrying rodents. This is an extremely unnecessary, ongoing issue that can and should be handled fairly for all involved.

Deborah Killion, Wesley Chapel, Florida, United States of America
Until we stop the overproduction the shelters will always face the same challenges they face today. It is most urgent to force the public to take responsibility before these unwanted innocent animals are even conceived. Think of the licensee as a deposit for the care of the animal that will inevitably end up in the shelter because of their decision to not spay or neuter

Mr Heath Bodden, Odessa, Florida
To target the commissioners of pasco county ...to let them realize we have an overpopulation of animals and PASCO county and actually every county in America ... If Pasco county would come together and do something legal to help the overpopulation of dogs in Pasco other counties would follow suit ... Not only would the Pasco commissioners help their but they would actually be helping every county In America ( One good step leads to other good steps )
