We get far more use out of the Darlington playground!!Now the shire had removed what was left of the 'train' play equipment, and although it needed replacing, it has left Glen Forrest children with very little to play on. What a shame, a suburb with so many (small) children has such a lack of facilites for them. The fence money could have been more wisely spent!

As a member of the Glen Forrest Junior Cricker club, we have been trying to get the facilities improved for many years. This fense serves no bennefit to the ground as far as I can see, and I welcome any comments/justification as to its pupose. Was any of the local sporting clubs aware of this fence going up, and or have any say into it????

The only sport utilizing the oval is school athletics carnivals and a short duration of Friday afternoon children's cricket. The main sport is men's cricket over the summer and any balls that venture into the storm water drain are a result of a 6 being hit which will still happen with the low fence in place.
The fence is totally unnecessary!!!!!
