Even after Dr Shipman proved he could escape justice for many years and Dame Janet Smith's recommendation, the government have sat back and did nothing. If the intention was to close a blind eye at doctors like Shipman and Barton, why spend millions of pounds of public money on an inquiry into Shipman and not deal with the outcome? The elderly are no safer going into hospital now as they were in the 1990's. Stop evil doctors now.
