It is unclear why families need to search for activities outside of the town. The nearest ice skating centre is around 20 miles from Stevenage which makes it impossible for the parents to take their children regularly. The disappointment is great when kids clearly enjoy ice skating and wish to develop in this sport.

I used to work in Queesway Ice Rink in London, as a Ice marshall, door man and social host. The Stevenage rink was run down and sad to say needed rebuilding. The problem I see is the cost, it cost so much to run and Stevenage doesnt have a good record of attracting investors. Even though Id offer to help as much as I can and support the cause, cant see it happening.
