Drivers are frustrated and stressed as a result of this unnecessary and ineffective "traffic calming" road-block. The chicane is also counter productive with drivers becoming understandably aggressive and impatient. Consequently they often drive much faster than the speed limit once they are past the chicane to make up for lost time and as a vent for their anger. Removal of the chicane would reduce the risk of collision and crazy driving with drivers playing Russian Roulette as a result of pulling out into on-coming traffic when it is unsafe to do so and those with the right of way holding their speed until they are forced to brake. Let's face it "this is MADNESS" council's have lost the plot and should be made accountable for the consequences of their actions. This petition requires more social media input to ensure the level of exposure across as many people as possible, as I am sure more NORMAL members of society that have to suffer this small mindedness will overwhelmingly vote to remove this very dangerous and inefficient socialist experiment.

In the last 2 weeks i have had to slam my breaks on because oncoming drivers are taking unnecessary risks! It is ridiculous to have them so close to pedestrian crossings, and a roundabout and speed camera respectively. They are more trouble than they are worth and it makes me angry that more and more people are causing accidents or near due to this "traffic calming" measure
