Mr. Chris Amon, Little Neck, NY, United States of America
I will ask Congress to repeal the Children's Television Act of 1990 to replace Saturday Morning News weekend edition and the boring reality shows. And favor back is Children's programming Saturday Morning Animated Cartoons with the Action for Children's Television. I want to go with permission is education of learning. I will go for Seal of Good Practice Television Code from the National Association of Broadcasters to replace TV Parental Guidelines. News starts only weekdays Monday-Friday. And I want is Saturday Morning Cartoons every Saturday Morning 7:00am - 1:00pm before the NBC Sports, CBS Sports, and ABC Sports, and I want is Cartoon show on Syndication to shut down FOX because of hostile takeovers by Rupert Murdoch.

Mr. Joseph Morris, Taneytown, Maryland, United States of America
Personally, I believe that many of the problems plaguing our youth can be attributed to oversaturation of educational media on television. We are breeding a generation that emphasizes "slacktivism" and social media shaming over heroism & courage. I learned these qualities from shows like Power Rangers and Sailor Moon, shows which, basically, existed before the FCC put a stranglehold on what could and could not be shown. It is also worth noting that many of my favorite childhood memories come from toys that I only learned about via commercials that were prominently featured in the station identification breaks in children's Programming blocks. I want my great-nieces and their children and their children's children to have the same memories without their parents having to pay hundreds of dollars for satellite or cable television. To summarize, I want children to grow strong, not so weak & pliable that they eat Tide Pods & believe the Earth is flat. The Children's Television Act is weakening them, and the only way to fix it is to repeal.

Mr. Ben Schupp, Des Moines, Iowa, United States of America
My name's Benjamin Schupp and I'm always happy to sign this petition, the only kids programming is on Nickelodeon and PBS, while Cartoon Network has been replaced by Seth MacFarlane's programming in the morning hours as well. Our children need to be introduced to the shows of our childhood especially He-Man they'll then know what their relatives grew up with and they'll probably know where Ninja Turtles came from as well as Dexter's Laboratory because in some way it's educational. It's about a little boy passionate about Science and invents stuff. As well as PBS's original programming like the ORIGINAL Sesame Street you know where Big Bird was the focus and the sketches were like Saturday Night Live but with Muppets. And there was also another great PBS show that taught kids to read with the help of a Jack Russell terrier it was called Wishbone. And that's why I'm signing this petition. And if you've kids you would sign this petition too.

Mr James McKee, Summerville, SC, United States of America
Unlike the ESRB and Parental Advisory labels on CDs, The Children's Television Act on 1990 did more harm than good

It screwed over people who can't afford/have access to Cable/Satellite or the Internet by monopolizing what they can see for Kids TV to nothing but boring educational content

I'm not talking good edutatinment like "Big Bag" and WDR's Mouse TV, I'm talking about Litton Entertainment's monopoly on Saturday Morning

Let's think for a moment, Kids are in school for 5 days a week [excluding holidays, sick days or extreme weather] and those who can't afford Cable or SVOD/Internet can only expect Saturday Morning to appease their escapism but the bill unfortunately took their escapism away and mentally trap them in a eternal school house with trauma from attacks from school bullies in their mind

Mr. Jason Ayala, Waterbury, Connecticut, United States of America
Your CTA law has become out of control and it needs to be abolished. We don't need to be educated every Saturday. That is what 5 days of school is for. I know we got cable, satellite and the internet, but what about those who can't afford the luxuries we got? I am talking about the poor and middle class. By enforcing this law, you are forcing them to pay for cable, satellite and the internet, just to watch their favorite cartoons, which they can't because of their poor income. All they are stuck with are nothing but talk shows, court shows, and nothing but edutainment that truly can rot their brains. By enforcing this law, you have robbed future generations of fans and animators of their imagination. This CTA law is nothing but extortion, just to fill your pockets for all the moral guardians and soccer moms that appease your greed and corruption.

Walter Chapman, Warner Robins, Georgia, United States of America
I feel I must sign this petition because of the lack of entertainment for children who dont have cable or to poor to own a dvd cartoon collection. As a kid I remember education bits spread out across the morning: In the news, One to grow on, School house rock, Time for timer, etc. This makes no sense since broadcast stations show so much trash for kids to easily see in the afternoons. I'm sure kids would be happy with old episodes of The Chipmunks and Duck Tales over nothing at all for them. They would know its age anyway since its new to them.

We've slowly sunk to the point where there is no fun in learning for the children. We need to let kids be kids and stop trying to make them grow up so fast. I think this act has reduced the shows not only on Saturday mornings, but weekdays were affected exponentially. I think if you get enough comments and signatures, we might have a chance to fight back against George H.W. Bush's term when he wanted to blame cartoons, such as The Simpsons, as the Devil rather than care about the Gulf War. I think that if we have enough: Kids' WB, FOX Kids, ABC's One Saturday Morning, etc - will be back. We need to get to remove the E/I restrictions for three hours, they're effecting the viewers and the shows, altogether. Without the E/I law and bullshit, we would have a perfect time, and a peaceful time watching weekday cartoons and Saturday morning cartoons.
