MS. Andrea Yancey, Lakewood, OH, United States of America
I have been working at 865 Bassett Road for 6 years. I live in Lakewood. If the 49 & 808 are cut, I will be left with no transportation to work. I will lose my job since I can't afford any other mode of transportation. Please reconsider!!!

Mr Daniel Thompson, Lakewood, Ohio, United States of America
I know first hand that the Lakewood Circulator is heavily used, and is one of the only routes connecting the Lakewood Gold Coast and Detroit Avenue to the W117 rapid stop. It is also jammed packed during rush hour. Also, RTA complains about not having money when they are engaging in multiple unneeded extra projects, as outlined on their website.

Mrs. Antwoinette Jackson, Mobile, Alabama, United States of America
Our city is already deteriorating and to discontinue this mode of transportation for the working class is just not sensible. I am more than confident that the peple making the decisions in conjunction with the UNION can come to some mutual understanding regarding this. It is sad to see the city where I grew up just diminish before my eyes and no one seems to care.
What will people do who need to get to and from work on these routes? Who is addressing that? This is just bad all around.

Mr William McCroden, Fairview Park, OH, United States of America
My particular concerns are the 96F which I use to get to work and the 822 Circulator which my handicapped wife uses. Without it she has no chance of getting a job.

Ms. Nikkole Shinaul, Cleveland, OH, United States of America
Cleveland has already lost enough and is so far behind cities of like size in areas of development, job opportunity, and public transportation. Other cites have thrived from increased riders due to the ever-increasing cost of fuel. Why is it that while the GCRTA has also seen this benefit, they now choose to abandon those same loyal riders by cutting transit services? How can RTA display such greed as to cut services and increase fares? What exactly is the additional fare paying for?

Ms. Kay Polster, East Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America
The current oil crisis is a perfect opportunity for the transit industry to show what it can do to relieve traffic costs, both to individual consumers and to the environment. Reacting to this challenge by cutting routes while raising rates is so completely counterintuitive that one wonders what RTA could be thinking. Forcing people back into their cars at this time is sheer folly. Send the directors back to the drawing board!

Mrs. Marsha McCroden, Fairview Park, Ohio, United States of America
I depend on public transportation to get around. Two of the routes you are eliminating (discontinuing) are the only routes I have to get to Westgate in order to connect with other buses. The only route to downtown is on the Cut Stops list and it runs twice an hour already.
Public transportation means just that -- you serve the public. At a time when bus ridership is up and alternate transportation and clean fuels are highly important, you say "Sorry. We're cutting service and raising rates.
