Hurstville velodrome was used nearly everyday by my young cycling brother from his first bike to the age of 15, when he started to compete at a high level.
Already having represented Australia in cycling oveseas, he continues to successfully pursue his great life goal - competing for Australia in the Tour De France.
Without access to Hurstville velodrome, he would not have had the same opportunity to discover this sport.

The champion cyclists we see represent our Country, started like every other rider on the local track or on the road riding through our suburbs.
