My previous experiences of dealing with your branches have been unsatisfactory - I gave up trying to close my late father's account after trying through your Farnborough and Letchworth branches. Last year I queued for over 20 minutes in the Bedford branch only to be told I needed to make an appoinment to open an ISA and that there were no appointments available until after the end of the tax year. On my way home I called in at the Biggleswade agency and was able to open one there and then. Subsequently I made a further deposit in the new FY and both my wife and I opened 123 accounts. Our total deposits with Santander are now over £42k. On all occasions we have been dealt with quickly, politely and efficiently, which does not happen with the larger branches and hence Santander would not be in possession of our deposits.

All my work is in the conwy valley and so the santander bank in llanrwst is bang in the middle for me. I use this bank all the time!! If you close this branch i will have to travel to llandudno to pay cheques in which is in the opposite direction. By the time id get there after work the branch would be closed.. the staff in the llanrwst branch have ALWAYS been patient and friendly. Theyve always happily discussed changes to my account . It will be not just a shame to loose this branch it would be a disgrace . Stop punishing the little people KEEP THE SMALL BRANCHES
