Anonymous, Freeport, NY, United States of America
The historical society deserves to have its own home and the unit's history and artifacts needs to remain intact. I find this very disturbing and as a member of the Freeport Historical Society, Freeport, NY where one of our residents was one of the original hell fighters and who was buried in an unmarked grave until recently, this is very upsetting. Those brave souls deserve the recognition, the collection should remain intact in its own home and should be returned to the the original armory once renovations are complete.
