This part of the river bank and CBD is well appreciated by locals and visitors alike. It would be ridiculous to remove these healthy shady full grown trees to plant more trees that could be vandalised many times over before they have a chance to grow, and shade would be 30 plus years away.

Local residents also use this area constantly, sitting under these trees to have their lunch, or just coffee or an ice-cream enjoying the shade they provide.
The council would be much better to adjust their plans to INCLUDE the current trees and actually employ a professional gardener for the maintenance of this area.
