I'm a disgusted, and now distant fan of 20+ years. Under your watch, the Royals have fallen from what they once were, and keep making excuses and blaming the fans, the very people without whom they wouldn't have jobs.

When you obsess with return on investment instead of investing in the team, you have failed as an owner. The team isn't expected to have the budget of the Yankees, for instance, but your budgets, even with the increases, don't truly increase the team's potential when adjusted for inflation. You've run a baseball team like you did Walmart, ignoring that baseball is not a chain store that sells cheap, poorly-made goods. In doing so, you have lost an entire generation -- possibly multiple generations -- of fans.

Show some mercy on the fans who've forked over their hard-earned money. Don't extend your Royals legacy; it's a damning one.
