We suffer heavy G/r increases every year. WE have to pay £500 CASH to stay for the 'extra month' of February, because it's a holiday site license. We're all pensioners & pay from our weekly income. Our homes are moved at the 'owners' wish'., we have no say. I, & many others MUST pay £500 PM. to live in our purchased homes .This is theft, & abuse to elderly disabled people.!

My problems with park resorts since 1995 continue to mount. They are unfair, abuse, and a nightmare to me for most of the time I,ve been with them.
Steep price rises without justification, lack of proper repairs, lack of communication, couldn t care less attitude (they got you by the short and curlies anyway), etc, etc.
I wish I knew what I was getting into before I did. Will never recommend owning a static to anyone now.

There is such a lack of integrity in this physical world. The world is greedy. I have a staic caravan I bough this year 2012. I never received terms or conditions until after I handed them the bundle of cash. Nothing much was made clear to me and I have no breakdown of other costs transportation connection fees etc. Although I know how much my static caravan was. It NOT right and something legal need to be done to change this thats parks are greedy and its unfair. Its the parsk responsibility to be completly clear about everything. It would have changed my desicion if I knew everything. It should be simple but it is not. I dont mind paying site fees when all else is fair and in integrity.

Unable to get a full breakdown of costing for water and business rates, which appear too high. £1199 inc the new vat for a 38 x 12 static compared with £435 for a 4 bed house and £1296 inc the new vat, compared to my home at £1497! On a site of 400 static owners.

I bought a holiday Lodge / caravan in 2008 for £85,000 and £3,200 a year ground rent. I lived in it as my home.With the advent of council tax it tuns out I can not live in it as it is on a holiday park. The site owner, one of the biggestin the country told me a pack of lies when I bought it. I have no recourse in law as I can not afford £16,000 in legal fees. I am retired. It has basically rouined my retirement and made me pennyless. The same rights should be given to holiday mobile homes.

I would like parlement to make a fair bill that gives owners a right in what happens to there caravan when we buy it and to maintain it our selfes,(not the gas or electric) but the out side and olso the inside.

Current legislation for residential homes coveres the owner but the holiday home owner is left without any protection.
Our site is open 11 months of the year and to all intent it is my home apart from one month when I have to vacate the site.
If I want to sell my Static van I have to go through the site owner who takes 15% of the sale which I consider to be far too much considering he gets yearly income from each pitch.

Park owners have to many rights against caravan owners. Considerable investments are made not only for purchasing the caravan but to the plot itself. Then park owners think they have the right to move you for development purposes and ultimately greed

My wife and I along with several freinds have just been bullied out ofour caravans and forced to sell to them at rediculously low rates or face massive ground rent hikes which they gave us two weeks to find.
some freinds have lost up to £18k we have lost about 5K
