I am contractor with 2 employees. The new legislation requires me to cover my earnings. As a masonry contractor I currently pay 12% to cover my empoyees and will have to pay that now to cover myself.
I have not had a man lost day in the 32 years I've been in business.
A fellow employee has started up an identical business in Calgary and has to pay 3%
Some how I don't think it's because there safer out there.
I'm sorry I missed the protest in February, but count me in for the next one.
