Don't we have the human resource in management from the institutions who have oversight responsibility over this facility? can't we train people to handle this? when official from such institutions go abroad, don't they visit facilities of such nature to learn from?Pleas we can manage this facility if want to.

I do not know if the government have really done cost benefit analysis to determine the cost in keeping the gardens and the short ter, medium term and long term benefits it will bnring.
If only we manage it as an attractive tourist site the nation will derive lots of revenue.
I therefore join the call to petition the govenrment of Ghana to rescind their decision to privitize Aburi Gardens.

What remains of our country that is ours if we simply release our responsibility to maintain our local resource to "others"?

Ms Emmanuelle Occansey, Tema Community 13, Greater Accra Region, Ghana
A carefully monitored PPP might be in the best interest of the Ghanaian people, with a definite stress on "carefully monitored". A divesture is not. This is our heritage and we want to preserve it. At the very least, public scrutiny should be allowed through public consultation/exhibition of facts and collection of comments and suggestions. Some public interest associations and organisations might have valuable contributions to make. Give the people of Ghana a chance to make their voices heard!

Mr Yaw Asiamah, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
There is a lot of wisdom in holding some things to ourselves. Visit Jamaica. There is so much quality land the native cannot step unto. The belong to foreign nationals. When those contracts were signed, nobody thought of the next more affluent generation. Even if there are laws and caveats written into what ever contract, those will be subject to interpretation by whoever can hire the cleverest lawyer. I have the feeling The guy whose signature is on the document will win regardless. Have we not sold enough of Ghana already?
