You can beautify the city all you want, but folks looking to move (especially those with families and retirees) will research the vast amount of information available online regarding crime here. The security and safety of our families is by far the number one concern of most reasonable people, followed by means of economic sustainability. Even if you folks don't care much about that, I want my new neighbors to be reasonable people.
Please end Police wage freezes and furghloughs and plan to hire additional officers on the 2014 budget. Any amount of crime is a permanent stain in our city's reputation, thus have irreparable consequences on our future economic growth. Thank you.
