I am on a fixed income (SSDI) and am barely making ends meet now and this conversion will severly effect my quality of living.

This will also be a financial burden, if anyone is or becomes unemployed, and can not pay a monthly utility bill. In addition to these concerns, I also feel, that all of our appliances are very old, and none of them are energy efficient. If this were to work, then all of these appliances, would have to be upgraded, in order to reduce usage of electricity & reduce any negative impact on Climate Change.
