The 6 people that died at the hands of IRA murderers for a start.

The Royal Army Medical Corps, who served not only the Army but the Local Community.

The Parachute Regiment who were stationed here for 50 years & took part in many wars & conflicts during that time.

The many Local dignitaries who actually did something for Aldershot!

The famous names from Aldershot like Arthur English.

It seems to me, that not a single though has been put into this disgusting situation & that rewarding fellow councilors, regardless of where they served, is fine.

Well it's not.
We expect, no demand that any names to be allocated to any part of this construction, be put before a non political organisation, for discussion.
That their nominations take precedence over those from Hampshire CC.

As it's on the old Montgomery Lines barrack site I think it would be fitting, in remembrance of the site and the reason the site was named as such in the first place, Bernard Law Montgomery being the most successful General of the British Army during the Second World War and also a local to the area, his home being in Tisted. There is nothing to compare to the name attached to the barracks that were on the site but also the pride that comes with the name of the local war hero. Well known to former soldiers and civilians alike I think this should be an obvious choice for the name of the school.

It's not right that an Aldershot school should be named after someone who has no connection with the town. We have a great military history in the town and a more appropriate name would be more in keeping with that glorious history.
