I run my own company and employ other disabled staff. Neverthe less thanks to ATOS my DLA and IIJ have been reduced because their doctor has stated that in his OPINION my disability is improving. This flies in the face of my knowledge and the expertise of both my doctor and hospital consultant. I appealed against AROS judgement last year. I am still awaiting a tribunal date. In the meantime I cannot expect the old benefits to be reinstated or backdated. The same problems have beset some of my disabled staff.<br /> Another iniquity is that we took on a staff member via Working Links, he had been out of work for 14 years. They offered no work related training or incentives but after 12 months with us, Working Links were paid over £9000 through their government work placement scheme.<br /> I have estimated my personal loss to be about £1500 but the loss to my other disabled staff to be over £9000 within the last year. If nations could agree that banks pay say 1% of their annual profit for the next 5 years to governments who have had to bale out their banking systems Perhaps the bonus systems in such banks and financial institutions would suffer but then would that be such a bad thing.
