The overall maintenance of the communal areas are a disgrace. They are very difficult to get hold of on the phone, but when you do get hold of them they don't seem to know anything about what is going on. Surely we must be able to do better.

How can there be a management charge when you hold the freehold on a property? The communal areas are never maintained or if they are at a bare minumum. There are also areas which have not been landscaped whatsoever e.g car parks, tarmacing of pavements. With enough residents behind this campaign all these issues and many more can be adressed as a group rather than being treated as an individual.

They are unexplained and unfair. And these additional charges appear to vary between properties, which makes absolutely no sense. It would help is lazy residents actually used the bins in the bin stores instead of dumping their rubbish at the back. It would also help if lazy residents used the correct recycling bins. Can I suggest that some residents actually learn to read English.
